HA!

That looks like the same company that made the Edgar Allan Poe Action figure, and the Librarian action figure with push-button hushing action!

I guess I have never actually found the concept of old lonely people keeping cats as particularly funny. It's an outward need of companionship that they are filling, and these are usually people who have been tossed aside and now can only relate to pets.

I feel bad when the cats then become abused because they get too many of them in some desperate attempt to fill the void that is left when the cats actually DON'T fulfill their needs.

Not ragging on your post, Nikster..... I guess the "cazy cat lady" thing kind of fills me more with sadness than humor.

Actually, that is real, and I've seen it being sold at Powel's Book Store in Portland, along with other strange action figures....

Librarian figure with push-button hushing action for example!

I sorta feel the same way. Partially because I'm a cat person. (I have two Siamese cats... one of them is a kitten.... you can't go too far wrong!) You never hear of "The crazy dog lady." I mean, she likes her cats and cats (unlike certain people I know) don't really talk back (Then again, if your cats are anything like mine, they will talk back lots.... but they're really cute about it!) , they pour out lots of unconditional love, warm up your feet on a cold winter night, and do lots of cute things. (Again, if your cats are anything like mine, they can be very social!) All they want in the end is food and attention. Along with dogs, cats are great companionship. So someone having lots of cats is someone who likes to be in the company of cats and likes the companionship they offer. Liking companionship isn't a bad thing nor is it really all that funny. It's part of Manslow's Hirachy of Needs and Wants. So she would be fullfiling that part of the Hirachy. Besides, studies have proven that having pets (Weither it be dogs, cats, birds, fish, or even Zebras.... yes.... I said it.... Zebras!) has a positive effect on people. And let us not forget about those single people who live in pet-friendly appartments out there. Ususally, it's just them and a pet cat or small dog. Does being alone with you pet make you crazy? Some of you may laugh and say sometimes and talk lovingly about the crazy things your pet does. But for the most part, being alone with a pet doesn't.

As far as the Crazy cat lady goes, it's not funny (Unless it's the one from the Simpsons. For some reason, that doesn't bother me). A lot of these so called "Crazy Cat People" are usually writers or give back to the community in some way (I've actually seen a book about a family of crazy cat people who have built a series of ramps, hammocks, "hide-y holes," toys, and passage ways in this funny little obsitcal course thingy which snaked around the entire house. It was really fun to look at. Definatley these people had a lot of time on their hands to create something so interesting!) There are documentaries and entire TV series dedicated to these people.

*Sigh* And that's my two bits. I just had to get this out there. ^^;

Ummm....actually....when I was in, like, 3rd or 2nd grade, there was this really mean woman who lived next to us who had a whole lot of dogs....like over 20. When I looked in her backyard once, I remember her saying "You can't look at my dogs, they're not statues!"

Anyway....
We called her the Crazy dog Woman...(Lady would've been too much of a compliment to someone who threw dog poop at my mom...)

She threw poop? By the sounds of it, I'm suprised she didn't get all freaked out about picking it up to start with. (Assuming she did that bare handed. Kinda sounds like she did.)

Strange, the action figure looks too young. The crazy cat ladies you hear about and see here are usually elderly ladies. Man, there has been many times on the news where animal control has had to go in and round up large numbers of cats from old ladies who took them all in, but cause of their age and sometimes mind set they neglected the massive accumulated mess that the dozens of cats left behind in the house, which then has become a health concern to old lady and any neighbors lving next door.
