As of today, there is no official synopsis for the already green-lit third TRON film that started production this week. Apart from the fact that a director and several actors have been confirmed to the film project, and that it's probably slated for a late-2025 release date, information is scarce.
We do know however, and for a while now, that the working title for the film is
TRON: ARES which obviously refers to the Greek god of war, of valor and courage but also of brutality and bloodlust...
The one other tidbit of info apparently comes from Joachim Ronning himself; according to
The Hollywood North Buzz he stated that it's "a movie... about AI and what it means, and takes, to be human".
What are your thoughts programs? Will this be a
WarGames-esque type of film for a new generation of fans or something entirely new?
Do you think cameos from Kevin (Jeff Bridges) and Alan (Bruce Boxleitner) would happen? (Sadly enough Lora and Ed Dillinger will not, for Cindy Morgan and David Warner passed away recently)
Will we get to know what ever happened to Sam and Quorra?
