This is a thought I had some time ago and it keeps popping into my head.
A while back (it's been maybe a year or more?) someone here had recommended the book
Daemon, by Daniel Suarez*. Based on that recommendation, I believe several of us went out and read it. It occurred to me at the time that we might do something like that semi-officially-- someone recommends a book, anyone who wants to reads it, and we could discuss it. That book was recommended because it was technology-based, and I would imagine we'd want to keep it to books with that sort of theme, something we know everyone here might be interested in.
I thought of it because I keep meaning to read
Simulacra and Simulation** (the book in
The Matrix that Neo gives a disc of stolen info to some hackers in) and i thought others here may have already read it or may be interested in doing so.
What do you all say? Would anybody be interested in doing that?
