Greetings programs! Have any of you tried the new Linux
Ubuntu OS?
It's super fast and secure..
it's kind of like Flynn OS.
I like the fact that I can use my old printer..
unlike windows 7 that didn't work with my old printer
that needed a CD installed and only worked with Windows XP..
now I can plug and play all my devices and have fun!
Oh and it has great firewall, anti virus, and apparrmor
to keep the system secure and running great...
well now ot have fun with my new system..
I'm thinking of installing this on my laptop also...

I'll have to think about that. My current OpenSuse is getting old and probably needs a reinstall anyway; might as well do it while I can still get my former partner to visit and help me do it. I just hate reinstalling-- I finally get all my settings the way I want, and then it's time for a reinstall again. Then I always have angst hoping my backup actually works, too. MEH.
I was running Ubuntu prior to this and liked it okay. Though I dunno-- I've never run the same flavor twice, I don't think; should I break the trend? 
What do you want? I'm busy.

I would say get 11.10
It runs super fast and has great features if you have a newer machine...
it's doesn't lag like windows...
I have only been using Ubuntu..
I felt the version before 11.10 was a little slow and buggy...
but the new version 12. something.. i have not upgraded to yet..
I heard Mint is also a good flavor of Linux?
based on Ubuntu...
I enjoy Linux for working and doing online stuff.
Windows is for watching DVDs.. and playing TRON 2.0 online etc...

If you want the least amount of hassel then Linux Mint.
It already has the most popular software, flash, audio/video codecs installed right from the start, and its UI is much more 'comfortable' than unity (note I didn't say better, just more familiar).where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

It true: Unity takes some getting used to. I've been using it since 11.04, and I'm still not sure what I think. On the other hand, it's not so radically weird that I couldn't just jump in and start using it successfully.
I'll have to give Mint a shot sometime, but as long as Ubuntu keeps working for me, I'm not sure when that will be.

I want to get and try out Mint..
or have it as a backup Live CD...
can never have enough recovery CD's..
and ISO's ready to go lol...
just burned Puppy Arcade 10 last night..
soon it will be video game time..
also Puppy Linux is super fast...
