Is facebook boring now??

on Sunday, September, 16, 2012 5:07 PM

Do you guys find facebook to be boring? I like keeping up with music bands and movies and stuff.. But the things most people write on there is boring and Mundane. Like they make a sandwich and post a pic of it. If they are drinking a COKE then the pic is there... i mean... i am drinking coffee.. but I don't need to make a post about every little thing. I usually write something crazy and entertaining on my status..

What do you think is Facebook boring or good??

Well, that's kind of the idea of Facebook. If there's something you want to tell all of your friends, you have them on Facebook and post it to your wall, and then they can all see it. So instead of sending an email to every single one of your friends, you can post a message for all of them to see on Facebook.

The etiquette of some individuals on FB is severely lacking. I was recently "unfriended" and blocked by a person whom I held in high esteem, and enjoyed interacting with. All this without the decency of an explanation why the actions were taken. Although I understand that a rational is not "owed", there are certain social considerations that should be observed. After multiple attempts to seek clarrification via alternate avenues, I have been met only with silence. It is unfortunate that Facebook gives certain parties the excuse to act without basic manners. where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Why's that any different than if someone stops calling or writing inexplicably?

I've been unfriended before. It was no big deal. I figured out it was probably over something political and, well, it was one of those issues (an anti-hate rant, if I remember correctly) that made me think it was good riddance if the dude disagreed to me to the point that he unfriended.

I don't find Facebook boring. I use it solely to keep up with friends I wouldn't have contact with otherwise (which is why I scoff when people say social media keeps people from interacting. Social media is how I keep some modicum of contact with people I wouldn't bother to call or email otherwise). On occasion I'll see a post I don't care about, but the scroll wheel on my mouse works great so I just skip it. And often I'll learn or see really cool stuff. I don't really understand the people who do nothing but brag and act like their life is perfect-- I thought the whole point of keeping up with friends is so they actually know what's going on with you, not to crow about the same three or four topics that prove how wonderful you and your life are and say nothing else-- but okay, I can skip that stuff too.

What do you want? I'm busy.

Program, please!

Yes Kat the people who brag every post.. and post a pic about it every 5 mins are the annoying ones! lol what happens is friends of friends add me, and then I start seeings all these crazy posts.

However like you said, I have found out about some really cool pics, videos and sites because of facebook.

It just seemed more exciting when it came out I guess.. Same with myspace, but like you said it's a good tool for keeping in touch with family or friends who live very far.. Or like you said we wouldn't bother to call or write otherwise.

I guess I myself use it to spy on people form the past and just see what is going on in their life. Since a lot of them live close and we have not seen or hung out in a long time.. I didn't bother to add most of them.. but it's fun to spy on their pages lol...
,mine is private with a different name.. so no spying on me lo..where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Lol, he'll probably turn his uneventful Twitter feed into a game-interrupting, anti-climactic 63-minute cutscene in the next MGS.

Considering the majority of his Twitter feed is food-related, wouldn't it just be the entirety of Snake Eater?

Kat, I'm fine with being unfriended, It's going the extra step to block, when I have no idea why, that bugs me. Anyway, it's their choice, and I'm not dependant on people being my "friends" to validate my existence. Not whining, just annoyed.

Speaking of Facebook-- does anybody know if they tend to email everyone in your email address list without your permission, telling them you want them to join Facebook?

I'm trying to figure out if some spam I'm receiving is actually from FB or if it's a phishing message. If the latter, it's quite convincing. I receive it at both my home and work addresses, saying that my ex's father wants me to join. He does have both email addresses. The one I get at home also says a former coworker wants me to join (this email address is the one she had but not the one I use for Facebook). The email does appear very authentic, and the fact that one of them features *two* people I actually know by name makes it seem like it might've actually come from FB.

However, my ex's dad would never actively ask Facebook to send out an email to his friends and family (and usually these services do ask before doing such a thing), and he certainly would know better than to have such things sent to my work address. He said he barely even uses his Facebook account (I thought maybe if he'd just signed up it would do that, but he's had Facebook for some time). I'm also not sure how FB would even get access to a person's email address book without their input. That's why I wonder if perhaps something happened like his email got hacked and everyone in his address book got a message like this (though it doesn't explain why the one I get at home also features another person I know).

Anyone ever heard of FB doing crap like that? It's damn annoying because even if it IS legit, I don't have internet access from the computer I receive email on at work, so I can't click the link to unsubscribe. And I'm not entering my work email address into FB's website to remove it.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Is it boring? Yeah. I have ever used it? No. Why? Because it's boring. How do I know it's boring if I have never used it? The concept is boring. Why is the concept boring? Because I would rather talk to someone. Why? Same reason I don't text. Why don't I text? Talking is better. Why is talking better? Because if you don't talk you forget how and end up texting someone who is in the same room as you.

(this only applies to people that are close enough in the area to talk to. Other than that I talk on the phone and email)
