Good question. I was introduced to this universe with the first film, when I was all of five. It was, hands-down, the most beautiful visuals I had ever seen. The Intellivision games were what kept my interest, as two of them were among the VERY few games I could hope to beat any family members at. It was also one of the few films the twin and I could agree on.

When I found it again in college, I was on a computer science track and taking all my electives in film. I was also a newly-minted Neo-Pagan. When I saw it again, I was shocked and squeeing over all the religious and spiritual themes Lisberger flew past the Disney censors. This is one of the most Neo-Pagan friendly movies out there - screw "The Craft." You have the Old Religion - polytheistic, acknowledging many Gods, many ways. And then you have the New Religion - a single being who claims to be better, who claims he alone has The Way, and begins a "convert or die" crusade against the polytheists, who fight back for the right to worship in peace. The Neo Pagan view also tends towards the idea that the Gods are not as separate from humanity as one might think. I dashed off a couple of joking drabbles for a fan board, but went on my way again.

What started the latest binge wasn't Legacy directly. I stumbled into a room party at Norwescon running an "End of Line" theme. All the techno, the costumes, the lights...the spiked something they were serving clicked something in my head and I HAD to go find other fans and fanfic.

Again, some real-life factors are at play. My estranged father died of heart failure six months prior to Legacy's release date, and I was no longer so buried in work that I could ignore my own feelings. Well, as pathetic as it sounds, the best way I know how to work through those feelings is by writing, and fanfic is my medium. Legacy, with its themes of loss, abandonment, and "what could have been" versus "what is" turns out to be a good universe to work through those feelings. Since my career is in IT, the Tron-verse also turns out to be a good place to vent about job frustrations, too.

It's an entire universe in there, one we created, but it's beyond us now. Really. It's outgrown us. You know, every time you shut off your computer...do you know what you're doing? Have you ever reformatted a hard drive? Deleted old software? Destroyed an entire universe?"

I just find everything about it awesome and radical man...

Its a very cool world, and I would like to convert my home into the Grid.
And perhaps one day created a whole city with Flynn's and End of Line club,
even if it's a small but magical town.

Firstly: GREETINGS PROGRAM!

Fan Art keeps me going, I've joined almost every group and once in a while I end up making a TRON piece I like showing off.

Here's my Tron folder, in case you're curious: http://hjthx1138.deviantart.com/gallery/34801336
Playing the video games is fun.

Or I end up starting a project with fellow fans: http://www.tron-sector.com/forums/default.aspx?a=top&id=439378order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

First, welcome to the Grid, program!!

Why I stay interested in Tron is because.... To be honest, I have no idea
I guess it's just the whole thing in general. The console games, movies, and the upcoming Disney X D Cartoon, Tron: Uprising. The first time I had ever got a glimpse of the Grid was on Mother's Day of last year. My mom and I had nothing to do, and the movie Tron: Legacy looked very interesting to me so we watched it. I laugh at the memories of it because we were in awe almost the whole movie. My mom's jaw dropped when she saw Clu generate a lightcycle for the first time. And ever since then, I've been a Tron geek.

Hmm, to me just the whole idea won't fit with Tron.
Neither does it fit with Star Wars or Star Trek but novel writers took care of both of those!

Zombie crossovers with good movies disgust me!

I first saw Tron: Legacy when it was on pay per view last year and liked it ever since. I guess it was the whole idea of someone going into a computer/video games since I am big into both of those and the neon look. After that I saw original Tron and I never really got into it, probably because I didn't see it first and it looked so outdated compared to T: L, but was good for its time. The stuff I like most about the first one is the tanks (left out of T: L, why?) and arcade, and that Tron was really in it!!abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Thanks to FlynnOne for the signature!

Computer viruses that infect programs, turning them into zombies. System becomes overrun with infected programs. Zombie apocalypse formula right there.

Tron 2.0 executed this nicely.

I girl in Kendo once after her 4th session as to why she wanted to learn Kendo, and she said with no word of a lie "to prepare for the zombie apocalypse".........it was awesome.

What keeps me interested? I think its just an amazing story and world that has been created, I think its completely underestimated as well people tend not to see or care about the deeper meanings to the story. Also I think the community here helps keep me interested, I check this website every day I might not post much but that is most of the time my pov has already been said.
