No one talks about Flynn not being in Tron 3 anymore. hey want to pick up the leftover story strings - which is TRON not derezzing, Quorra in real world, reactivate Flynn (Kosinski mentioned himself that he is _not_ completely dead) and maybe what happens to ENCOM an Dillinger. So they should reactivate Jeff. He is the "entrance" to this franchise for the audience and he has the biggest fan base of them all (beside Olivia Wilde  ).
I hope Kosinski will direct this when he finished Oblivion in mid 2013. And I hope the whole (still living) characters will be impremented.
Just please, get Jeff involved somehow.

No matter how Jeff reappears, he just has to. I'm with you. ^^'
Best thing would be to make him an ISO like Quorra.
Or even better: Because of Quorra they experience how to revive Flynn as an ISO - and bid bad Dillinger tries to stop them. Would be a cool story. Simple but straight forward.

Thanks for the civility in your response, unlike a response from someone else who tried to be slick by quickly erasing what they said. I, too, think they will include Quorra possibly in how Kevin (if he does) reappears, since she was able to materialize as a human due to the sacrifice Kevin made at the end of Legacy.

Five years to 2015? |
I believe Rectify is basing that on the release date of TRON: Legacy in December 2010, hence, 5 years would be 2015.

I'd rather this than some big fancy resurrection-type thing. And I think they could make it plausible somehow. (and hey, why not? i saw a bunch of other Star Wars-like moments in the film-- no idea if it was intentional or not; keep meaning to do a thread on it-- so while normally I'd say "oh, dude, it's been done," I'm willing to be okay with it.)
Frankly I wish they hadn't pseudo-killed-him-off to begin with and then they wouldn't be in this mess with either him OR Tron (how many heroes can we resurrect in one film, eh?) but now that they have, I hope they find a way to fix it that isn't utterly-fantastical.

If we're going with the theory that Q can come to the real world because she's utilizing Flynn's matter stored in the canister (which makes you wonder what effect cell aging might have on her [not that I wish to debate this right nor or in this thread]-- would hate to see her end up in the sort of scenario Mel Gibson's character does near the end of Forever Young)... then this could work.
I've actually wondered if she'd stay in the real world once here. She would find things so vastly different that I think it would be easy to become homesick. Also, if Sam tries to rebuild the Grid-- and of course, we know he has to-- she might volunteer to go back and stay there; she'll be back "home" and she can do the work from inside. Hell, she could take on the Clu-like role, in that she can be in there all the time whereas Sam (and Alan, as I assume they'll get him involved) can't.

Ugh, 2015 seems so far away. Sure as hell beats a 28 year wait though.
Perhaps the longevity is a good thing. Tron 3 could be one the first films shot entirely in 60 frames per second or take advantage of some of the other new film innovations coming up.

That would be awesome. OT set the bar pretty high with cutting-edge technology, so I'd like to see the trend continue in the Tron films. I would love to see them continue to go completely experimental with new stuff. It has been brought to my attention that someone posing as me, posted a negative remark on this thread.
