You know, the one on the night of Sam's prank.
Anybody know offhand of a Youtube link that shows the whole meeting? I did several searches but only found one, and it only has half of it. I don't have the movie, and don't plan on going to the library today to try to check it out (I'm home from work sick and plan on keeping my arse firmly in the apartment) so Youtube is my only resource. But I'm working on a story based on it and my memory's failing me.
Also, as a total aside: somebody more knowledgeable about the NYSE tell me-- in the one clip I did see, Mackey mentions something like "We've gotta ring that bell!" What bell? They can't be talking about the opening, since the meeting's at night. They wouldn't get fired up for the close of the trading day (and besides, again, the timing is wrong). Are they looking at the Nikkei or FTSE or something? (I think they were referring to going into international trading, weren't they? That might make more sense, I suppose. Mackey was indeed talking about ringing the bell in Tokyo. As Encoms stock was debuting on the NIKKEI index.
As for an entire clip of it on you tube.. I have no idea.

Aha. Well, that helps me with timeline issues as well; I always wondered just what time the meeting was taking place. Now we know... that should make it, what, 7p.m. EST?

Unless my math is off as well.. Tokyo is what 17 hours ahead of California? Something is off there..
I assumed the meeting might have been later.. Say midnight.. As that is when most releases for things are.. But.. Then again..

Depending on where the "Tron city" should be in the US, the opening in Tokyo is about 4pm at the east coast and 1pm at the west coast. (9am in Tokyo)
So either it is fall or winter in TL or they just @#$% up checking the correct time delays. 
I do not know when new stocks debut at the stock exchanges. As far as I know it should be sometime around the opening bell.

I had about 7 p.m. EST / 4p.m. PST?
At least, the thing I read said Tokyo was GMT +9, so 9a Tokyo = midnight GMT, and EST is GMT-5, so midnight GMT = 7p EST. PST is GMT-8, so midnight GMT = 4p PST
I would've thought maybe it was just an evening meeting before or after the fact, except that comment of Mackey's makes it sound like they're timing it right on. So I think it's just a mistake. Maybe they went on EST and didn't even think about it? That could make it dark at 7pm if it were late fall/winter/early spring.

Or later, since Sam went to the Grid after that, and when he cam out the sun was almost up. And not much time would have gone by while he was there.

Dunno, I've been stuck on the time differential for a long while now.
Not that it should matter so much, but if you're trying to write around it and figure out the timeline.... then somehow we need to take up time from a 7 p.m. meeting to sunrise the next day-- so we have almost 12 hours to account for between Sam getting arrested, Alan visiting, Sam going to the arcade and into the Grid (which we know from time comparisons between real-world and Grid, is about 10 minutes real-world time), and then him coming back out. It's a bit of a stretch for writers, I think, esp. those of us who are picky. Guess he spent a lot of time in jail, though that makes you wonder-- exactly how long did Alan sit at Sam's apartment, then? (Since Alan's still in suit, it looks like he went over there right after the meeting. Hope he brought a good book and a Snickers bar for that one.)

I never buy movies. Because I never watch them. I have a DVD of one of my fav movies of all time that I got for my birthday... I've had it since college.... took the shrink wrap off less than a year ago because I felt guilty about never having unwrapped it. Still haven't watched it...

I go to the movies to watch movies. I'll watch my favorites if they come on TV (and usually if that happens, I can't NOT watch). I rarely sit down and watch a movie when I'm by myself; I might if I'm with other people and we all agree there is something we want to see (and if we do, we can just rent it, esp. since there are very few movies I actually want to see more than once).
