I understand Disney has done things like this in the past people have liked alot (Star Tours definitely comes to mind.), but that's when SW was a world wide phenomenon,not a movie from a year ago that "did well".

What happened to the Marvel license? Why not try that? Isn't Disney against anything related to war? What does a fictional planet that looks like Willy Wonka's Sci-fi candy factory have to with a wild animal park about Africa? Are they that afraid to use their own characters now that they want to endorse anything but their own material. Is this easier to do?

Maybe it's just a rumor? I don't think this will ever keep an entirely Tron themed . . . anything from not being in a park at some point.

It'd make sense for them to put a Tron installation in Anaheim, what with it's proximity to Hollywood and all that. Avatar in Florida makes sense. Maybe we'll see some new developments when Tron 3 goes into production, or afterward...

I'd argue that there isn't really such a thing as a DIsney type movie. Remember, Disney owned (owns?) Touchstone, and also ABC -- and shows like Desperate Housewives aren't exactly the Disney model.

I saw Avatar and thought that it was okay. I have seen only one Harry Potter movie. But based on theme alone, I'm *very* interested in seeing Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure, and I have zero interest in visiting Avatarland at Animal Kingdom. Harry Potter makes IoA a mint, and I don't think that Avatar has nearly the same level of merchandising opportunities. Quite frankly, I think that this could end up being a bomb for Disney.

Good point. And yeah I didnt like Avatar either. I think the worst part was the primitive aliens beat the technological advanced (with cool mech suits ) humans.
