Okay, this was a "phantom" song to me for a long time since I had no idea who made it (Daft Punk, I assume?) and it didn't appear on the standard release soundtrack (along with a lot of other songs that shoulda been on it) nor any other release I've ever heard of. Someone pointed out a link on Youtube where it was available.

The track plays in the light cycle concept test when Flynn first appears and rises to his feet in his safehouse. Only.....didn't they re-do many of the sound effects in that CGI test after TL was released, replacing many of the sound effects in the original test with updated ones from the movie, then re-issue the concept test with the new sound effects? So I am not even sure Flynn Remembers appears in the original concept test. But it is in the movie somewhere, I just can't remember where exactly right now.

So how could this song have remained a "phantom" for so long? Does it appear anywhere on a commercial release? I heard something about it being from Tron: Evolution. Was it or was it not in the original concept test? I tossed out the original one I DL'd from Youtube two years ago and only have a newer one I got as an official TL Podcast. And did Daft Punk indeed author it? Good track, by the way. Thanks.

It is called "Flynn Remembers" but Daft Punk did NOT compose it. Disney and Kosinski hadn't sought them out yet, they didn't even know if TR2N was going to be made yet.

I'm glad someone cleared this up. I've been wondering about that website music for awhile.

I do remember it being in the original test, the non-official video-cam one from the SDCC where it first appeared.

It's from the proof of concept trailer, and was never made available officially apart from the iPhone app.
