I saw this today and wondered if it were true or rumour. Glad to see I may have a chance to see it should I hit Dizzyland.

They HAVE to bring this to Disney World in FL, it's the only one I am close too LoL
Glad they extended it tho for you West Coaster's

That's great news for the West coast TRON fans! I wish I could get out there to see it, but since I'm halfway across the country, it's pretty much impossible. Bummer! And it starts on my birthday too!  Oh well, I hope it brings in lots and lots of people! The more exposure TRON gets, the happier I am! LOL!

Actually, the signs say that it will only ever be in Disneyland CA. It's part of the Hollywood Backlot thing.

They may just do that. There are alot of oldtimers that don't like the whole tron inspired dance party theme. But, the bottom line IS the bottom line. Disney is making good money with ElecTRONica. It was unexpected, and may be just one of many things that pushed them into making a move on TRON 3. If it keeps making money, and bringing in more guests($$$), then it will stay. It's been extended three times now. It should have died back in April. Now that we definitely have enough time for it, would everyone here be up to orchestrating some sort of "Super Awesome Tron-Sector Meet Up" there?

That would be fun, and I know it could be done. I've belonged to two fandoms now, where a large group of us met up somewhere, sharing hotel rooms for cost savings, planning on meeting times. This is at Dizzyland, right? Next door?
It can be alot of work but the results, when they come together, are awesome. Funny thing though, both times we did this, afterwards, everyone sort of stopped talking via the Net. Like once we had met, we went our separate ways. :-(

I hope THAT doesn't happen! (lol).
I was kinda thinking of just meeting up at Cali adventure specifically for ElecTRONica, but a hotel and everything would be cool. I'm just one really long drive away so all I need is a few more people who are down to go.
We might be able to get some kind of group discount. We should mention the site and everything, we might get some kinda special treatment.

I would kill to be able to go but since it's on the complete opposite coast as me I dont see that happening

My sentiments exactly!!!! I'm going to DW in FL sometime next year, and it would be really cool if DW FL got with the program (pun intended, LOL!!!!!)!

That still doesn't make sense though because at DW in FL they have what used to be called "Disney's MGM Studios" which is now called something like "Disney's Hollywood Studios" that is ALL about Hollywood (old and new Hollywood) and movies. I thought for sure if they did not put it in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom they would certainly put it in the Studio park. So odd

Disney should build a Tron/Grid inspired resort, at Walt Disney World. Foreign guests would eat it up. And, so would I.
