Well last night after watching Tron Legacy before bed I noticed Ed Dillinger
getting on his cell right after Encom OS 12 got stolen and replaced with the video
of Marv the dog.
So who was he calling?
My guess is he was calling his father...
Does anyone know? let's discuss

That's correct. He was Calling Dillinger (Sr) from the first movie. It kinda makes sense, though, Kat. But again, doesn't that reduce his credibility? I liked him a lot better when I thought HE was the one who knew how to solve the problem.

It cut out from the video of Sam walking up to Encom with the Flynn Lives shirt and then Jr. says "Dad, did you see this?", referring to that video.

Oooh, what if Ed secretly created his OWN version of the Grid with input/assistance from his father based on Dillinger/Sark's experience from the first film? And taking it a step further, what if he inserted his dying father into that system as the Master Control Program? Legacy made it a point to set up Ed as a whiz kid who may actually be smarter than Sam, if not certainly his equal. That's what I was thinking. I thought Diillinger Dr made a Grid and was sucked into the Encom system again. Or just the Encom Grid. He got trapped in there as the new MCP just waiting to get his revenge. That's why I think Ed Jr. talks to Ed Sr. At first I thought it was just Ed Sr with a voice synthesiser. But now I think he is inside the computer and communicating to Ed Jr.
And yes the phone call and text chat seem to be different. On the text chat you can tell they are talking through a computer. But now that someone said Bruce confirmed he was calling his dad. The question is what did he say?
All I know is that.. Tron 3 is going to be QUITE a ride!!!
