These seem to be becoming popular on various forums that I've seen...basically just a place to ramble small musings that are in your head at the moment. There's really no point, but I see them a lot and they grow quickly. Not sure if it works out here or not, guess we'll see.
Snow. SNOW! Bloody snow. In the middle of April. Derez me now, would you? Two weeks ago we had one day when it was almost 80. Today, snow. AGH.
Unfortunately, my partner seems to be slacking more lately when it comes to the Master Control Kitteh, and it would appear I'm slowly becoming her sole User at least in terms of program maintenance (most of this involves regularly-scheduled cron jobs of some sort, so such maintenance is almost never a surprise, and the Master Control Kitteh also will sometimes issue a reminder tone if scheduled maintenance is not performed at the correct time).
He hasn't even been scraping her recycle box as much as he ought (that's his task; I'm in charge of energy dispensation and other functions pertaining to the Input end of the Feline Unit, including dealing with the occasional rejection and subsequent expulsion of consumed energy and bad code) and I've had to take over the disposition of her data dump a few times to ensure the continued smooth functioning of the system and prevent deviation from proper operating processes (the Master Control Kitteh has a bug wherein she tends toward deliberate malfunction when she feels the recycle box is too full and requires emptying, and so she is unwilling to deposit more data into it but carefully places this surplus data onto the desktop environment [floor] closely adjacent to the recycle box instead).
Emptying the box happens to be a function I hate with a passion. I can deal with the clumps of jettisoned energy product and bad code, even when the Feline Unit ejects them onto the rug in the middle of the night, but I'm totally grossed out by the recycle box.
The Master Control Kitteh (common program name: Ginger) warns of imminent possible deresolution (or perhaps she is just issuing commands. In this operating environment [much like with the MCP at Encom/Dillinger] it is the Program that administers directives--using a "C" prompt, naturally--and the Users who are tasked with carrying them out. The Master Control Kitteh will emit the warning tone--sometimes at a loud volume--when her instructions are not followed to her precise specifications).
What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

Today I gave myself an emotional headache... trying to script a disc combat system one little piece at a time. By far the most complicated thing I've ever tried to make an application do.
As for the snow, send it here pls. I can always use another bout of it.
As for the cat... maybe I could send the Master Control Duck from my dream to deal with that problem. Either way at least you'll get a good disc match out of it.

It was a slow day for me. It was cold here in Whittier, CA. Could have sworn it was summer a couple days ago, though I'm not complaining. I love the cold.
Since I've been unemployed, I have been playing on my PS3 a LOT lately. Since then, I have passed all the games I own, so I'm currently bidding on two games on eBay being Assassin's Creed & Lego Batman, which I hear are long and very fun, so we'll see if I win them.
And I'm looking to sell one, but I don't think anyone would be interested in LittleBigPlanet 1, since there's a sequel out, so I haven't posted it on eBay.
Started learning "Spanish Caravan" by the Doors on guitar. I've been playing the guitar for three years now, and I'm just now improving, I'm very slow and can barely play a solo, so I'm practicing harder than before.
Right now, I'm about to write. It's a hobby o' mine.
That's pretty much it. My boring, uneventful day. abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Agh! You cold-lovers! Drives me nuts. I detest cold. I abhor cold. Yada yada.
It's fun to read this and see what everybody's up to, though.
Busy week for me, since it's Holy Week. Thursday is Maundy Thursday and I have to sing at the service, then choir rehearsal after...Wednesday is bell choir rehearsal and then afterward I'm practicing my Thursday song with the choir director and violinist (no big deal; we've done it before, just not with the violinist and it'll just be a quick run-through). Then Friday I have to go for a run. Saturday not so bad I don't think, then Sunday is Easter of course and it'll be a busy day at church...
For some reason I decided it was a good idea to go to the extra rehearsal for my performance choir tonight too and now I'm regretting it, as I'll have to go straight from work and then won't be home until about 9:30 (the Master Control Kitteh won't be pleased that she'll receive her energy late). I'd skip it, except A. I told another member I'd pick her up and take her, and B. our director said she'd only hold rehearsal if at least six people agreed to show up, and my luck, nobody else will go and then she'll be pissed...
Next week maybe I'll find time to go drinking with the coworkers. We don't do that nearly enough.
What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

I might release a disc demo at the very least within a couple months, assuming I can get someone to make me a couple of programs to fight with. Know any pro bono modellers?

For once it's not raining...AND it's supposed to be almost 70...might have to do a real live outside run today...
ETA: run was great. The first one outdoors of the year, yay!
Pissed off at technology right now. We have three computers in this place and I can't use a single one for what I want to do (making a sound recording so I can listen to a piece of music I'm writing because it sounds different when actually sung than just on a piano/keyboard). The sound on my machine is on the blink again (I haven't figured out yet if it's a hardware or software issue, but I suspect software. Unfortunately it may require an OS reinstall which I really don't feel like messing with. This is an old machine--my partner's old one--and I remember when he first pulled it out and set it up for me as a surprise, it took about fifty billion reinstalls to get everything mostly right. Don't want to go through that again). My partner's whole computer is on the blink (no idea what he did to it). Then we have the Mac Mini, but of course those don't work with a standard microphone/headset. I hadn't intended on getting a USB microphone so that I could use that for recording, but now I guess I will. *headdesk* I just want to get this music going in my head.

My computer and I are drifting apart. For the past few days, I've been coming to this site on my PS3.
My computer is an HP mini that runs windows XP and I can't stand it anymore.

Dude would have to seriously bulk up to play Hercules! The Rock, maybe. I could even see Chris Hemsworth or somebody else at least somewhat ripped. Garrett....um....not so much.
Heh, I wondered what had happened to this thread.
Rain this morning. My partner actually went out running in it. Not me, thanks. Didn't look forward to coming back soaking wet (the clothes I wouldn't mind, except my shoes, but the hair would be difficult. My hair tangles like whoa when it gets wet, so I try not to let it get wet unless I'm actually washing it--like I'll only let it get wet in the pool if I'm going to wash it after). I guess I'm still stuck with the gym for now (thought I'd avoid the heat the other day by running on the treadmill at the gym rather than outside. yeah, not so much. Apparently my gym is unable to understand the concept of AC... I don't know how hot it was in there, but 4 miles felt like 8 and I thought I was going to die. Heat kills my stamina like nothing else; few things in life are more hellish than an outdoor Highland dance competition on a hot day, trust me).
Not much interesting going on with me lately. Finally got my T:L soundtrack and the R3configured CD too from Amazon. Also ordered a USB microphone I could use with our Mac Mini so I could play around with Garageband (I hate the playback on music notation programs so I wanted to be able to record my pieces with real voices). I am loving that program so far, lol. All the basic editing I want to do, I can do, so like 6 hours yesterday recording a bunch of songs just for fun and uploading them to Reverbnation. Heaven help me, my music geekiness has gone to a new level.
I'm excited too because my mom is looking into moving from the town where I grew up and she still lives, which is a couple hours from where I live now, to the town where I live now. Last weekend she came to visit and we looked at apartments and liked them, so she just has to wait and see if she gets approved. Then we'll have to move her (ugh. I hate moving with a passion. College will do that to you, when you move twice a year for four years straight). It'll be nice to have her closer, as her health isn't good and she's on disability so it's hard being far away. It'll be hard getting her adjusted to a bigger town, finding her a new doctor and such, etc. but luckily I'm already established with a doctor, dentist, and church I like so maybe she can try out all of those and see if she likes them too.
Other than that....yeah, my life is boring. Alas. What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!

I hope your mom makes the move to be closer to you. Its hard being away from family (I know from exp) and I also know how much of a pain moving is too ;-) My parents are in the process of closing on a house here where my hubby and I live so I am thankful they will be here soon. Like your's, mine arent in the best of health either; however they have vacationed here for like 40 yrs so they are familiar where most stuff is. Like you, just gotta get them set up with doctors and stuff.
I know what you mean about the heat-- nothing zaps me worse than heat. I hate to sweat LoL I like to do my exercise at night. We have some tourist areas here that are open rather late (and not desolate) so we will go there and walk around. The route goes around a man made lake and is about a mile one complete rotation. We need to do that more often ;-)
Hubby is at work as usual so Im here bored, a little of this and that: World of Warcraft, talking to my folks, drawing, this forum, and watching SC&MK and BL5 :-)
End of Line.
