Play this is just one of those dumb threads I am posting mostly as a joke, but it must be a real B to get those suits off or at least off-enough to make use of the washroom/bathroom/whatever they call it in your zip code. The guy who did the wardrobe, in the extra features somewhere, said the suits could have no seams or zippers since they were materialized on to those who wore them. Is there a hole that opens up or something? Does one's pee glow in the Tron universe? If I ate enough vitamin B, would I get the same effect? It is vitamin B that does that, right? Or is it C?

1) the food isn't like real food, it's just energy, like a cloud of electrons/binary code givin a simulated form, like most everything in the cyberspace realm i.e. The Grid.

2) the fake "food" gives Programs/digital beings/Users energy directly. Just as the water in the first TRON (1982) did.
Flynn just adjusted the code so he could still experience "eating". Rather than only "drinking" "liquid" energy for a 1000 cycles (which to him seem like over a 1000 yrs)

3) Programs, Users, etc *do not have internal organs* like in the real world, and so do not need to internally process "food" in the same way, and so there is no "waste products."

4) therefore, they don't make poop and have no need for toilets. Everything is digital code and energy.

Users bleed on the grid. The primary purpose of blood is the transfer nutrients and oxygen to and wastes and carbon dioxide away from organs. Flynn's interview on 60 minutes touched upon this subject.

Shadow Dragon, I agree with you 1000%. It's as simple as this:
USER = Digitized HUMAN that has been broken down and reconstituted so that they can experience life in the digital alter-reality, (i.e, THE GRID, or the ENCOM 511);

PROGRAM = Digital Being, made up of LINES OF CODE instructing that being what to do. The lights on the programs, especially the way they got brighter or darker depended on their energy level, and maybe even their emotional level , like when Sark's circuits get brighter when he says, "TAKE THOSE PROGRAMS TO THE HOLDING PIT!!!".

As far as eating food and drinking in the Tron universe - those are only for PROVIDING ENERGY to function. Since programs are not biological entities, they have no need to urinate or defecate.
