Meh.... you do need to buy two disc to play together in co-op mode
But anyway me and my brother have been kind of working on it together. I'm at the part when you're trying to make it up the broken elevator after Wheatly-

Software improvements have long flown in the face of, "If it isn't broken, don't fix it."
I've already experienced more problems with Windows 7 in the short time I've used it, than I have with Windows XP in the past 5+ years. Plus its easier to use.
Every new OS that comes out is more idiot-proof than the previous version, which makes it even harder for people who know what they're doing, to do what they want to.

Actually, I found out that the game supports split-screen co-op if you have a 360 or PS3 controller. Requires a bit a tweaking, but it works great. Unfortunately, I don't get rumble on my TRON 360 controller in split-screen co-op.

This method also works with Left 4 Dead, but only with two players.
So, one disc, right?

Who the heck can do 2-player split screen on a PC?
Anyway I decided screw it until the price comes down. Tron: Evolution is on its way in the mail.
$100 to play Portal 2 with my wife is just ridiculous.

Yes. Since the 360 and PS3's controllers work via a USB interface (PS3 controllers have USB charging cables that I think can be used for PC connections), the game can recognize them and they can be used as controllers. The guide I posted assumes a 360 controller is being used, but I would think it would work with a PS3 controller, as well.
Since the code for splitscreen mode from consoles is in the PC version of L4D and Portal 2, you can do splitscreen multiplayer with one player on a controller and another on keyboard/mouse. Accessing splitscreen mode just takes a bit of tweaking as seen in the tutorial.

I've had exactly the opposite experience. On the same hardware, Win 7 has been less problematic and more stable than XP. In the 6 years that I used XP regularly, parts of the OS (like Explorer.exe) would crash maybe once every couple of weeks, and I'd still get the occasional blue screen as well. On Win 7, I've had zero of either since I started using it about a year and a half ago. ZERO crashes or problems. Everything just works. Meanwhile, Vista was worse than both. It just plain sucked.
One thing I'll definitely agree with, is that Microsoft took away a few features in 7 in the name of "ease of use", but in reality they made accomplishing some tasks more difficult. I still use XP on my second machine, and there are a few features I do miss.

Heh, I'm surprised Valve left that in again. I think last time they didn't intend for people to use it and weren't expecting anyone to find it. I guess this time they said what the hell, let's leave it in anyway.

I'm surprised they don't fully support it and advertise it as a feature on the Steam Store page (by adding local co-op to the features list; See Magicka and Magic the Gathering). I know people who actually take local multiplayer into consideration when purchasing PC titles, as weird as that sounds, lol. Just a missed advertising opportunity, in my opinion.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

With what I've seen of the kind of precision necessary in the coop game, I can't even see anything but LAN play being fast enough.

I got Portal 2 last week and was able to zip through the single player portion rather quick (well, I actually happened to have two days to myself so I spent the better part of those two days playing).
I had been a fan of the first game since day one, but I was a bit skeptic about a sequel at first. After playing through it twice within the last week, I'm very impressed. I'm glad they expanded the game and there are what seems to be a ton more levels. If they do make a Portal 3, I think it will go over well since Valve has a talent in keeping their intellectual properties moving in the right direction without straying too far away from what fans want.
Speaking of which, I'm a huge HL2 fan and I can't wait for Episode 3.

I've found out that LAN co-op does, in fact work. One player needs to host by typing in "map mp_coop_start" (for intro sequence and calibration course), or "map mp_coop_lobby_2" (for hub world). Once the level is loaded, the other player needs to connect to the hosting computer by pressing ~ to bring up the developer console and type "connect -host machine IP address-", where -host machine IP address- is replaced with the IP address of the hosting machine. This should work in theory. I am yet to confirm this. This method should also work if two players were offline on the same Steam account, but were to be still connected via LAN or WLAN.
Also, TronFAQ, do you know if BF3 will be DX11 only or will it support DX10, as well?order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online
