Heck yes. I pre-ordered a copy for my 360 a while back.
I'd get the PC version, but my desktop can't handle it as of now . . .
Can't wait to play, oh and the robots are so COOL
There is a billboard near some property I own that has a kick-ass image of Peabody (tall one, orange eye) Leaping across something. I could stare at that billboard all day . . . .
She's currently my favorite new robot.

If you played the first Portal it might make sense, but i'll try to summarize both . . .
(Takes place in the same universe as the Half-Life games, and uses the same engine, Source)
Aperture labs was a research facility that worked in an underground laboratory. they used human subjects to test a gun that created teleportation portals (using research from the now defunct Black Mesa labs from HL), until a HAL-9000 like A.I. (GLaDOS) ended up taking over the facility and killing everyone who worked there . . . except you, Chell, the last test subject. As you complete each test using the portal gun to complete maddening puzzles, avoid deadly A.I. turrets and infiltrate the staff HQ, you get one step closer to facing GLaDOS.
The second game is sort of the aftermath, although details are vague. Aperture labs is now in pieces, overgrown with plant life and, as a last ditch effort, GLaDOS builds two robots to continue using as test subjects . . . ATLAS (short, blue) and Peabody (tall, orange) to continue testing the Portal gun . . .
Hope that helps . . .
If you you've never played Portal, give it a go. It's nothing short of fantastic.

Anyone here getting it on PC or PS3? Those versions have cross platform compatibility for multiplayer, which still blows my mind.
@typicaltronname - As far as gameplay goes, it's a puzzle game. Get through test chambers using Portals. You can have up to two Portals at any time and you (along with other objects) maintain momentum as they travel through Portals.

Nah, I don't think we're at that point with DX11 yet. Even Crysis 2 still uses DX9, which is actually something of a sad statement because Crysis is supposed to be the poster child for bleeding-edge graphics. (A DX11 update is coming, but it's optional.)
There's only one game that's been announced as requiring DX11 (and no support for DX9 at all): Battlefield 3. And that's still a long way off.
I'll grab Portal 2 eventually. But I can't believe Valve added a store to it . . . sheesh. Thankfully all the things being sold are vanity items, rather than gameplay affecting ones.

Wow, DX11 is a requirement? I guess considering how amazing their engine looks, that's not too surprising. I don't think all games (or even a majority of them) will require DX11 immediately after BF3, seeing as how even DX10 is still an option for most games. Kind of makes me wonder if it'll have the same kind of following BF2 has.

Yeah, that store is just silly. Hopefully co-op has random drops or something (like TF2), because I don't want to pay $5 to get a top-hat. I did look at the store today to see what was there after I beat the singleplayer story and I got a companion cube beanie for getting an achievement. Maybe you get a free store item each time you get a certain number of achievements?

Does anyone know how the co-op play works? Can you download it on different computers or do you need another disc?

As per the way Steam works, your copy of Portal 2 (even if it's a retail disc) doesn't require the disc to be played. The game files from that disc, however, are registered to your account, and you can re-install it at anytime using the disc or downloading it from the Steam servers.
Because the game files from that disc are locked to your Steam account, you can't install that copy of the game (with that CD-Key, at least) to another Steam account. There is, however, a workaround (this assumes you have two computers in the same building):
1) Launch Portal 2 on computer 1
2) Disconnect computer 1 from the internet
3) Log into your Steam account from computer 2 (since computer 1 is offline, Steam won't know you're signed into that computer)
4) Launch portal 2 on computer 2
5) Connect computer 1 and 2 to each other via a LAN or WLAN connection
From there, you have your copy of Portal 2 running on two computers simultaneously. However, I do not know how the multiplayer system works, as it appears to be dependent on your Steam friends list, which you obviously can't access if you're offline, and you can't invite yourself to play co-op, either. It may involve some use of the developer console, but proceed with using that at your own risk.
As for the actual gameplay of the cooperative testing initiative, I have not tried it yet.
ALSO: Any of you on PS3 or PC, feel free to add me as a Steam friend. Just let me know who you are and I'll add you. Hah, that's one of the loading screens when you start the game up.
Just finished the singleplayer story, and, while I thought it was amazing, I was somewhat disappointed to see that the pneumatic diversity vent was not included in the final game.
Additionally, the test chamber seen in the propulsion gel trailer was not included in the final game. According to the developer commentary, the crusher panels were found to be to intimidating to playtesters, and were, for the most part, removed from the game.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

Yeah, Battlefield 3 on PC will require DX11 and Vista or 7. The game won't run on XP.
The team at DICE said BF3 will be going all out on the PC to max the visuals. Hence dropping XP, because it doesn't support DX11.
Since DX11 and Win 7 won't exactly be new any more by the time BF3 is released, I don't really see it as a big deal. Of course, I'm sure a lot of people will disagree. (What! I have to upgrade! Nooooooo! )
