Have you guys heard of the real life Grid?
Sounds pretty cool... yet I wouldn't entrust all my info
to being online with hackers and being spied on and all...

Sounds more like this technology is just an improvement in speed over broadband (much like how broadband is faster than dial-up).

Honestly I don't know if my internet could get faster. It downloads everything pretty instantly aside from whole movies. They take about only 5 minutes.

Well it wasn't so much the fast downloads that impress me.
I mean a T1 connection can download stuff in seconds also.
What impressed me was the 3D holographic multiplayer games
over the net...
I mean the closest thing we have to that now
is the 3DS ...
I wonder if this new internet
was always called The Grid?
or they just stole the name after Tron game out?

That sounds good and all... until you get the bill. That's gotta be MEGA-expensive.

Haha that article is over 3 years old and we're still waiting. Not counting on much. Awesome as it would be.

It can, but you have to purchase your program 30 days in advance.
It comes across SO much like Fox is just saying "Hey, TRON is popular, right? Let's just keep throwing the term "The Grid" in there..." But it kinda doesn't make sense if it's from 3 years ago.
