I was watching the Bonus features on the Tron DVD today..
and they said..
that Tron was made with probably less computing power..
than your IPhone today...
well he said Cell Phone..
probably an Iphone..
Truly Amazing! and that movie still looks awesome
today ! it will forever be a classic!!

actually the average smartphone cpu is waaay more advanced.
modern phones range from 600mhz to 1.2ghz
PC tech around 1980 for larger workstation computers was 4 - 8mhz.
frightening how far things have come isn't it?

Yes very scary!
But also very cool how they made such an awesome movie..
with such small processing power!
They really pushed their computers to the limit with Tron!!
