Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski has said that he is keen to bring characters out of the digital world in the planned sequel.
Speaking to Coming Soon, Kosinski revealed that he hopes to use the ending of last December's Legacy - in which Olivia Wilde's computer programme Quorra is freed from the virtual realm - as a starting point for the follow-up.
"That crossing over is a very kind of fascinating idea to me," he said. "It's like the world of Tron: Legacy is limited to the world and all the stuff that exists in that world stays in that world. But if stuff can cross over, just imagine the possibilities of what that means for the next chapter."
The filmmaker added that animated series Tron: Uprising will act as a prequel to the recent blockbuster.
"The animated series is going to explore some chapters before our story," he commented. "But we laid enough groundwork in Legacy that there's a lot of kind of jumping-off points for additional places to go. And that to me is exciting."
Tron: Legacy is released on DVD and Blu-ray in the US now and arrives in the UK on April 18
OK still no official confirmation, but good news right?

I don't know...
Honestly, I want to see MORE of the digital world and explore it in more depth. I don't want to see more of Tron stuff in the real world. It could be interesting, depending on how it is written.
Discuss it on tron-sector.com here. |

Exploring the notion of programs in the real world in more detail than Quorra = meh, to me.
It's like Smurfs in New York. Or Neverending Story characters watching TV and doing regular household chores.
Or if Star Wars episode VII were to ever be made and they decided to plop a few of the characters smack dab in the middle of present day Los Angeles.
I hope Kosinski doesn't do this or go overboard with the idea. Quorra was a big enough stretch. We don't need to explore it more, imo. order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

No. No, please don't bring more programs into the real world. UNLESS some one goes in and supplies matter. THEN it would be possible. Otherwise, TRON would cross from Sci-fi to fantasy. Then I would be sad I do love the grid more than the real world, but that doesn't mean everything there has to come here. Also, someone commented that people can't come out of no where. They have to have a social security card, other things, and if the scientists in-movie took DNA tests to see who they are, what would they find?? I'm pretty sure the ID disks don't transform into an ID card Of course, this is just my opinion, I'm sure its possible to pull it off somehow.
I would prefer to have Sam return to the grid, find Tron(possibly the last survivor of the grid) and restore it. Cillian Murphy could make a virus or something and try to stop this from happening. I don't know. I am not good at creating bad-guy storylines.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion <3 Re-Rez RAM! <3

I agree that any Tron movie should take place mostly in the digital world. I think a potential storyline would be that Dillinger Jr. (and Sr.?) gets wind of Quorra in the real world and how valuable (in terms of $$$ and power) she is, so they aggressively try to seize her (perhaps giving us an opening real world action scene). Sam and Quorra realize that the best way to hide is to dive back into the digital world (where they can somehow revive Flynn, meet Tron again); Dillinger Jr. follows them in, and gets help from Dad/MCP.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

I think it's just misdirection. The Grid is what people wanted. The Grid is what sold tickets. If they don't give us the Grid, more disk battles, and lots of action, it won't bring in new fans. If, in 2013, Disney surprises us with trailers for a third film, and they show Cillian Murphy, more grid action, more light cycles, tank battles, and lots of fast paced action, it will be an even bigger hit than Legacy. And, with much less advertising costs.
Disney, if you are reading this, remember THIS. It's all about good guys and bad guys, cops and robbers, cowboys and indians, black hats and white hats. Couple this with action and suspense, and you will have a hugh hit on your hands. Keep it simple, but fantastic. abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

He's only saying he like the idea and touching upon the idea a bit, he's not literally implying that he's going to bring everything from the The Grid/cyberspace into the "real world".
For example. Say a person writes a computer routine for repairing or adjusting DNA/RNA/Genes while in digital form, and then translating that into repaired or
adjusted DNA/RNA/Genes in a person in the "real world". Cancer and HIV could conceivably be erradicated. Another possiblitiy is digital cloning, a User is digitized and the system makes a copy of that persons DNA structure, and from that replacement organs and/or skin tissue can be materialized using extra matter stored in the matter containment units. Instead of organic growing of cloned organs, a modified Shiva laser could materialized a replacement organ. Just a couple possibilties!
That's the kind of things I think he refering to. Blurring things in-a-sense.
I *highly* doubt he's going to have literal Light Cycles and Recognizers be materialized and work in the "real world".
I am pretty sure he knows that an audiences' suspension of disbeliefe is limited...

Minus an "official" confirmation. All signs and stories are pointing to yes.
Not to mention that as of yesterday, Tron: Legacy made $399 mil, making Kosinski the biggest money making first timer in Hollywood history.
Heres the article

Either way, too many signs blatantly scream "sequel"

I agree with most of you. I hope he doesn't focus too much on characters in the real world. Perhaps some scenes cutting back and forth between what is happening simultaneously in the real world and in the grid. But, I don't think a movie primarily in the real world will go over all that well, unless he does something amazing.

I agree as well.....it is the fasination with the Grid that keeps me hooked on all things TRON. Pretending to enter that world, when watching these two great films, is magical and a great way to spend a evening. Thinking more about the backstories related to the characters we all know and love is equally a joy to spend some time doing.
If the world of TRON is brought into the 'real world', and their is less of the 'digital frontier' explored...it seems like it would be a pretty dull story. Most TRON geeks get a rush off of the very Tron-ness of the electronic world concept(s)...and leaving that behind could spell disaster for the franchise. I mean seriously, why do YOU like these movies? For what happens in the 'real world'...or the 'digital world'??
Yeah....you don't even have to bother answering that one, Programs....
I want to see a TRON 3 as much as the next conscript, but please don't let it focus more on 'real world' happenings. Please don't turn a wonderful concept into yet ANOTHER 'fish outta water' type of movie...( yawn..)
TRON is special.....keep it that way.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I agree - I thought immediately upon seeing Legacy that that's why Kevin Flynn said Isos would change the world - once DNA could be edited as data, and you could learn faster in a computer due to the speed of things, the world would be different. As such, I think we're just going to be seeing a lot more back and forth travel of people into the grid, and perhaps the mentioned Dillenger plot to get Quorra's ISO tech.
