TRON fans can return to the Grid with the opportunity to meet Joe Kosinski, director of the revolutionary visual effects adventure TRON: Legacy and Steven Lisberger, director of TRON: The Original Classic Special Edition, the landmark motion picture that inspired a new generation of digital filmmakers and became a favorite of fans and critics across the world.
Both Joe and Steven will be signing Blu-ray and DVD versions of TRON: Legacy and TRON: The Original Classic Special Edition. Each release comes packed with exclusive content and hours of bonus features.
A limited number of wrist bands will be distributed at the Best Buy store located at 1015 N. La Brea Ave, West Hollywood, California 90038 on Tuesday, April 5th at 10:00 AM and available first come, first served, while supplies last. Limit one wrist band per purchase of either TRON Blu-ray or DVD title. The signing will occur from 7:00PM to 8:30 PM.

Its awesome because I won a $50 gift certificate during the 3DS midnight
release party at the same location ! Look like i'll redeeming the $50 towards
the deluxe bluray set and a signtaure from the legend himself ^_^

Too bad I can't make it there. For the people that will get autographs... ask him about TR3N and if he is planning on writing any more films in the sci fi genre. It is sad to see wasted talent. What was he doing between 1987 and 2010?

Thanks for posting that link. I think with Tron Legacy's worldwide success, and the re-release of the original Tron, Lisberger will be busy for a while. He could be the next George Lucas.
Lisberger, who has been involved with several post-"Tron" projects that never got off the ground, said this one "felt different from the get-go."

Yes! its probably one of the worst Best Buy's in LA to be doing it, parking there is horrendous and the storefront faces La Brea, so its probably going to be a cluster.
W/e at least its in my city! vv0ot!
If youre going to be there, wear your hoodie/shirt and represent the sector!

Disney wouldn't dare pull a prank like that. It would be a marketing disaster !
Besides, retail stores like Best Buy are usually clueless about their own
store events. With that said, its been confirmed the signing with take place in West Hollywood off the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and La Brea.

Any tron costumes there yet? Any one in line yet? I would be there all day if I could. Make sure they put Tron and Tron: legacy on all the big screens. Just an update,
9:15AM, 20 people in line
9:30AM, 45 people in line
9:55AM, doors open 5min early, only a half dozen Ultimate experience copies available, swooped in seconds. None left
10:00AM No more copies of blu-ray Tron original
They were advertising the 5-disc set for $24.99. In reality, they are selling a 4 disc set that does not include the original. Youre better off going upstairs to Target to get a blu-ray original.
Not nearly as messy as I assumed, they seem to be "semi" well stocked on the 4-disc bluray, 2-disc bluray, and 1-disc DVD. As for the wristbands, they seemed plentiful, at least enough to last until the afternoon. I was one of the first 50 people in the store to realize that being there a couple hours early was not really necessary, although i got my wristband (which is just a blue paper band, nothing collectable) and will be going back later tonight to stand in line yet again.
They are saying that each wristband entitles you to "one" signing, although im almost certain this is just strongarm selling tactics to force you to buy multiple copies for multiple autographs. The wristband will guarentee you a spot in the line @7:30, although not numbered.
yawn, i should have saved myself that hour in bed. but at least i got both blurays, the original seems to be in limited quantity everywhere, and the sale price is said to only last today and tomorrow (per the extremely knowledgeable BB employees...)
4-disc bluray $39.99 ($24.99 today)
1-disc bluray $24.99 ($19.99 today)
Pics later.. if they are really warranted. This does not seem to be the exciting event.. yet.

The shirts at best buy were $12.99, im almost certain they are the same price at the other retailers.

Yes, there was camera crew present. They were hired guns from Buena Vista, beyond that i dont know / care. Quite possibly for the PR release on the signing. Most were wearing something Tron'ny,
Big ups to shadowdragon, saw the poor guy sitting there #6 in line 2 1/2 hours before the event.
