It was 299.99 at TRU they have Blue and Black. Blue was mostly gone, I got black.
Yes the 3D is awesome
No Glasses plus you can adjust the levels or turn it off completely

It's more about depth, alot like Real 3D. Sometimes it kinda "pops" but it's mostly depth related.

there will be a system firmware update for the 3DS that will add the internet browser, the DSi game shop, a version of Virtual Console called "virtual arcade" starting with GameBoy games, and coming this summer will be Netflix movie streaming and supposedly they will have movie trailers for movies that will be coming out in 3D.

I understand where you're coming from here, but I'd rather have the first Gen. They couldn't make too many more improvements, and It'll probably be near the same price anyway.

Yeah, I agree with you. In reading a short review online, it seems that not much else can be added, except maybe make it lighter, but it seems that that's it.

As much I don't like to, I'm one of those that can wait. Here's my brief history with Electronics.

I got the PS1 when the PS2 was about to come out.

I bought the PS2 in 2009. In 2010, I got myself a better paying job, so I bought the PS3 in August.

The system came out in 2006, so I bought it four years after its release.

I have waited One painful year to get the iPhone 4, and with the (probable) release of the iPhone 5, It's likely that the price of the 4 will drop, so i might get it then, but I'm not up for an upgrade until May.

I'm not even touching the iphone 3GS, it has the same shape as the 3G, and I don't want to have a different device that weighs and feels the same as a phone I hate.

I seriously hate my iPhone 3G to no end. Stupid 2 year contract.

I might even get the iPhone 5, if it's cheap enough, but then I'd have to wait until June (when apple usually releases new phones) and I just want to get rid of the 3G as fast as possible.

So if my past is any indication, I'm most likely to get the DSi, or whatever the most improved version of the DS is.

I know that the 3DS is a completely different system.

Really? I mean, there is definitely a lot of room for improvement with the 3DS, the battery life being a prime example.

Anyone who doubts there will be another 3DS model clearly hasn't looked at any of Nintendo's past with handhelds. Gameboy had Gameboy Mini, Gameboy Advance had the SP and Micro, the DS had the lite, and the DSi had the XL.

I definitely plan on getting one, though, but not until May. That's when the shop activates. I'm fairly nervous about waiting to get one, though. I have this feeling it's going to end up like Nintendo's other glasses-free 3D system.

That was a pair of binoculars on stilts, this is comfortable. Take it from a witness, it is not a . . . (shudder) . . . Virtual-Boy.

I own a Virtual-Boy and play it on a regular basis. The setup is inconvenient, but most of the complaints were about headaches, which I have experienced with the 3DS.
