But still, that interview confirms my suspicion that those two characters will return in the next installment. So, consider this. If Flynn Sr can be reintegrated, so can The Rebel Called Clu!! More Clu Fu!! I can see Clu going "Step aside, Sam. That Dillinger kid is mine.". Cool! I've read some very good fanfic from writers who had ideas on how to bring Clu back as the good guy. But that doesn't mean I don't want Tron back as well. I guess we can only wait to see what the writers come up with.

I have some ideas of how to bring Clu and Flynn back but unsure if I want to publish a fanfic because copyright infringement can be a serious issue, not from Disney but from others who may steal an idea or two. I just wish Kozinksi would consider doing a little mini-series prior to Tron 3 designed to 'clean up' the Legacy plot holes and bring people up to speed about the back story, that way, characters don't have to have a 'back story' monologue again in the next installment.
