Yay, finally got mine! (Amazon finally wised up and decided to ship the rest of my stuff separate from the piece of sheet music that was....delayed somehow). Will listen to it today at work if I have enough to do at my desk to be able to pop it in (unfortunately though I'll probably be spending most of the day in my file room, where going back and forth between file cabinets and such doesn't exactly allow me to plug headphones into the computer in there the booklet.

I got both this and the regular soundtrack, and may I say--I HATE the packaging of the regular soundtrack. Ten bucks says the booklet will be lost and the cardboard packing ruined in no time unless I just place it carefully on shelf and never move it. I'll probably put the disc in another regular CD case and put the original packaging elsewhere so it doesn't get beat to hell if I throw it in my bag to take to work and such. (I've always associated that sort of packaging with low-budget or non-permanent stuff like CD singles and demo CDs, so it kinda bugs me when used for a real CD.)

Yeah, I just stuck the CD in a more durable case.

Finally got to listen to both today though; I had some desk work I could do. Unfortunately, I was sitting there plugged in and kept getting interrupted. The phone rang--some guy calling for someone not even in my group. So I patched him through. Then he called back because he didn't get through. And it went from there--someone with a question, someone who needed me to let them into the boss's office. Yada yada. Then one my coworkers came up and was talking with me and the coworker who sits right by me. Finally she left, and I put my music back on--and I'd just gotten to "End of Line" on the soundtrack, which is one of my favorites...then the coworker who sits by me wanted to chat. (I did not yell, "YOU'RE MESSING WITH MY ZEN THING, MAN!!")

One thing I could wish about the soundtrack: that the tracks were longer, of course. And still wishing we could get the two-disc set here...well, without paying an arm and a leg (yeah, I'll always be right pissed about that).

I liked most of R3configured...some parts of some of the tracks didn't really appeal to me (like the second one...I'm really usually not into vocals in techno, especially voices like that), but for the most part they did.

At any rate, it all got me nice and energized. Should've seen how fast I was typing, lol. And....I actually cleaned my desk. I haven't had any problems with the original soundtrack disc being read on my computer or in my car. However, one of the biggest complaints I have read about the disc is the playing surface being black instead of the normal silver.
