I wonder if Tron will continue it's streak of attending comic-cons this summer? This time for TR3N. And if they don't have something ready for July in San Diego, but if not hopefully they might have something by August for fans in Canada at Fan Expo.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

I can certainly see some attendance and given they have reputedly already shot most of the stuff I'm sure they can slip us a nice Trailer or even a full scene.
At the very least I expect some of the Animated to have a presence.
It's very exciting times after years 'off the grid'!abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

I found this link in one of the discussions: http://tr3nlives.com/
It says:
The convention-goer who talked to Bruce asked him: “So, what do you know about TRON 3?” To which he replied: “Oh, I know a lot about Tron 3.”
“When do things kick into gear?”
“We get the ball rolling next year, I believe.”
“What do you know about the plot?”
“Oh.. let’s just say, Cillian Murphy doesn’t do cameos.”
---
I think maybe this means they've done some scenes already, at least for a teaser trailer. How else could he be that confident?

I understand that a LOT of the the Grid/Mo-Cap stuff was already shot after the Legacy shoot whilst Legacy was in post.

Does anyone have the above dialog on video? It seems hard to believe Bruce would spill the beans about TR3N, I am sure they have him in a nice contract.

No, "most of the stuff" has NOT been shot for Tron 3. NOTHING has been shot for Tron 3. The Next Day was cobbled together from deleted scenes and stuff shot for the ARG. In fact, here's a spy shot of the Encom entrance, the same one used for the TND footage.
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/40813
Note the date: 2009.
The Next Day is being pushed as a "Tron 3 teaser" when it is, in fact, not really anything of that sort. It's merely an extra bonus to wrap up a few loose ends from the ARG to set the stage for a third film IF (and given the movie's domestic performance, that's a REALLY big "IF") one happens.
Tron 3 is NOT greenlit. There's no script, no director, no actors, no money. Nothing has been shot, and until Disney decides to put a budgetary contract in front of Sean Bailey, nothing WILL be shot.

Note what he said..."I don't have any official word..."
He speculated there'd be more films based on Disney's investment. This doesn't necessarily mean anything. How many CUTTHROAT ISLAND sequels have there been? Where's WATERWORLD 2? How about the further adventures of Ben Affleck as DAREDEVIL?
Investment does not necessarily breed loyalty, especially with Disney hemorrhaging money thanks to MARS NEEDS MOMS.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

The thread is incorrectly titled, as I point out at one point in the thread. The only progress that has been made is a script commissioned long before Legacy was even released, which is a common practice for event films, especially if the producers are impressed. The cast likely have sequel clauses in their contracts but that doesn't guarantee a film will be made. A film is not, I repeat, NOT greenlit until the budget agreement is presented to and signed by the producer. A lot of films make it pretty far into the preproduction phase without ever being greenlit...prominent examples are Tim Burton's SUPERMAN LIVES, where costumes were being fabricated for actor Nicolas Cage, and Gore Verbinski's BIOSHOCK adaptation which went as far as having sets constructed without a single frame of film being shot.

Actually, Disney signed on Kosinski and both of the Writers for Legacy for TWO sequels if Legacy does good (which it has), and a Black Hole remake (which was to happen if Legacy flopped, and could still happen after Kosinski finishes the Tron franchise).

I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but in terms of box office Legacy did NOT do all that well. Just because a film makes back the equivalent of its budget in domestic gross doesn't mean it actually made that much money.
The agreements the studios have with US theaters is one of diminishing returns. Each week, the theater gets a larger cut of the ticket sales...let's say the first week, the studio gets 90% and the theater gets 10%. The following week it's split 85/15, then 80/20, and soforth until it's a 50/50 split. In addition, the studio will only get about half of its foreign gross.
So taking this into account, and assuming the above pattern (which may actually be too favorable to the studios) the movie only netted $120,786,731 domestically, and $112,750,000 overseas for a total of $233,536,731. That's only a $63.5 million profit, all of which is going to get eaten by MARS NEEDS MOMS' utter failure at the box office. Any chance of a third film is going to rest on A) DVD and Blu-Ray sales, and B) the reception & ratings of the animated series, and that decision likely won't be made until the end of this fiscal year. As far as both BLACK HOLE and OBLIVION go, I would guarantee that Disney is going to be in no hurry to make another epic adventure film anytime soon, unless it's another PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. The MNM fiasco is going to hurt for a long, long while.

Uh, Die Hard was a box office smash. $28 million budget, $140 million worldwide gross. Die Hard's domestic gross was $83 million, which is equal to $155 million when adjusted for inflation. Remember, it's not the amount a movie makes that matters, it's the budget-to-gross ratio. Die Hard's worldwide gross was 5 times its budget, and it was still quite profitable even after subtracting the theaters' cuts. Tron Legacy's ratio is only 2.3:1 worldwide, and a significant amount of that will be taken by theaters.
Also, need I remind you that it took 29 years for the second Tron film to be released?

Tron Legacy is making money for Disney!
believe me at Electronica.
People were putting a million quarters a week in the Paranoid Machines!
13 dollar per glowing drink at End of Line Club...
and paying 25 dollars a pop for Identity Discs...
They make more from one Toy.. than a DVD sale..
Disney just extended ElecTRONica until the summer,
when it was going to closein April originally..
All these sales are also from Tron Legacy Fans...
so Disney is still making their money!
There are so many new Tron fans now..
then before...
So many young children are excited about seeing he 1982 Tron...
and would go crazy for Tron 3.
They took a big Risk with Tron Legacy..
but now with so many new Fans in the younger generations..
It would be the best time to make Tron 3.
There is no stopping Tron.. a lot of new fans kept asking me
where to buy Tron Dics... i think 10 people asked me..on my trip..
Disney just made 240 dollars because I'm like a walking advertistment !
Right now Mickey is saying CHA CHING!!!
and as long as the money is rolling in..
they would even use some of the revenue from Drinks
and Toys to fund Tron 3....
and if that MARS NEEDS MOMS movie.. prevents Tron 3
that movie will be lucky if i don't blast it into a dead Zone!
End of line!

Greetings, Programs:
Just saw the youtube clip of Bruce talking about TR3N. First, thanks for posting that link.
Second, while I do hope that what I saw on AICN by Harry Knowles and what Bruce says is true, I have to admit that I'm skeptically optimistic, but excited. Why?
1)Wouldn't Bruce be violating some NDA by even just answering the question about the rumored TR3N trailer that's supposed to be on the TRON LEGACY DVD?
2)As secretive as Disney is, wouldn't they wait to say anything? I mean, I reminder these 2 guys over at collider.com doing a vlog about an on-set visit while TL was being filmed. This vlog was released about a year before TL came out, and I remember them saying that because of legal conditions with Disney, they couldn't say anything else until a year later;
3)Even though Bruce had a considerable part in the casting and production of Tron Legacy, I have to agree with the previous poster who said that nothing is guaranteed until the PRODUCER signs off on a budget agreement.
At the same time, the other half of me thinks that there will be a TR3N, because:
1)All the different IPs that are earning Disney some SERIOUS loot, i.e., the international box office earnings from Tron Legacy[url] (http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=tron2.htm)[url/], which equals nearly $400mil, as well as all the revenue from the toys, and Tron Evolution; and that's not even counting the potential revenue that will show up when the Tron: Legacy DVD/Bluray comes out (less than a month from now);
2)I recall a member of this board (can't recall his name) who said he was an actual employee of Digital Domain, saying that he would soon have to disappear due to an NDA;
3)The simple fact that there will be TRON:UPRISING;
4)What Bruce said in the youtube clip;
5)I, too, recall reading somewhere that Kosinski stated something about them signing on to do a Tron trilogy starting with Tron:Legacy if TL did well at the box office;
6)The info that ElecTRONica will be extended; YAY! I'm actually going to Disney World in June and will definitely have to check this out!!!!
In the end, only time will tell. If nothing materializes, at least I have my own Tron fanfic I can turn to, as well as the original Tron film and of course, TL and TU.
