Wrong! The 12" Ultimate figures were better than the deluxe. They had more articulation and the accessories that the Ultimate figures came with were made from better materials as they were constructed from metal instead of plastic like the deluxe figures had. Also, the lighting on the costumes was better and the "impulse projection" gimmick looked better on the Ultimate figures than on the deluxe figures. Additionally the painting was done better on the Ultimate costumes than on the deluxe figures
Granted, there were only two figures produced in the Ultimate line but I attribute that to Spin Master killing the TL line. Even so I give the nod to the Ultimate figures over the deluxe line any day of the week. Therefore, I think the deluxe line should have been nixed to concentrate on both Ultimate and Core lines.

Knowing that at least one Tron fan in the world was able to get his hands on an awesome canceled figure has actually somehow managed to lessen my hatred towards Spin Master.

magnum, man am I relived to see that safe and sound. I know I was pessimistic from the start. I honestly thought that package would somehow get "lost" in transit. It's nice to know there are still some honest people left in the world. In this instance, I'm happy to eat my own words.

To you perhaps. It ain't over yet. Once people get their final disappointment around DVD/Blu-ray release time, there will be more. Then, it will finally settle. Personally, Spin Master deserves what they get and then some.

But, it is over as far as Spin Master is concerned; they torpedoed the line. The figures and vehicles are now few and far between on store shelves.
We, as Tron fans, didn't get what we wanted out of the Spin Master line, that's a given. But that's just the way life is. We have to temper what we want to have with what we can have.
As far as I'm concerned, I'll just enjoy what TL items I have. And on Tuesday, I'll enjoy the movie when I watch it.

I understand that. But if it hasn't happened by now, it's not going to happen. Before long, the scalpers on Screw-bay will go to work charging obscene prices and there will be those folks out there who will pay them.
My previous response remains the same though. I'm going to enjoy what TL items I did find and purchased and likewise enjoy the 3D BD when it releases on Tuesday.
