Eh. People take things too seriously.

On a different note, there aren't 300. Some or most were destroyed, and the rest were given out to employees. So there are possibly way less than 300 that are in existence.

Not taking it too seriously, im merely commenting how quick people bandwagon a joke and take it to not very comical ridicule-fest. It should stop at the joke and a comment, haha its funny, lets move on. To me this kind of digression is the same as going completely off topic into "start a new thread territory" that is all. *smiles*

This is quite possibly the case, but any student or former student will tell you that an online wiki page is not the most reliable source of information. Who knows what the assembly line produced and destroyed.

The Castor Core Figure was planned for Series 2 of the Core Figures but was pulled at the last minute because of "a Disney/talent approval issue" and Spin Master could not - as the licensee - put the product on the shelf. The problem was fixed in time for the next wave, but future waves of all Spin Master Tron figures were put on indefinite hiatus because of dwindling sales.

Bottom line is that no one really knows. And i'm not putting my faith into a wiki. What we do know is that magnum actually got one of the extremely limited, and that the rest of us will be watching the online outlets very carefully in case another one slips thru.

^^^ lol

User, how many series of toys have you collected from Spin Master? I'm not disagreeing at all, but i've no prior experience with them. To me this is just a horrid first impression. Whats yours?

Its very sad that no one will ever see a full set. No Castor, Siren, Alan, Disc combatant 1 and 5, ect. There were so many possibilities, and at $5.99 I would have bought any excuse in a 4'' core figure.
Why 2 Clu variants? Why no Olivia Wilde based likeness? Why no Clu Sentry core lightcycle?

Incomplete because they were cheap.
I digress...

omg
I luckily bought the Clu cycle as my first core veh, and only recently learned it was Walmart only.
i saw an ULTIMATE sam, next to DELUXE sam, next to CORE sam, and immediately thought "What the sh*t, I have to buy three of the same effing character?" Have you seen the $5.99 clearance reduced Recognizer diecast case at Target within the last 3 months? Yep, the first line had different packaging and got slashed when new ones came in with different cardboard on them. I've not ever seen a Kevin Flynn or Rinzler deluxe disc at any of the Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, or brothels that ive traveled long and far to. I'm STILL missing these and i've been searching since December. I refuse to ebay/amazon them but it seem I will have to, no one on this forum is silly enough to trade one away. This is the kind of down-syndrome logic that spawns scalpers and ebayers. OMG VHTF! RARE! EXCLUSIVE! WONT FIND IT ANYWHERE ELSE BUY IT NOW FOR $199.99!!!
whorezzz

Ugh. My first toy collection and it will not be the most sucessful one. Likely my last. After this im going into collecting drugs, the resale value is way better if you go to the store with more quantity, and the consumers will always buy no matter how bad distribution is.

Hey User 897, out of curiosity do you collect any other toy lines? I collect a lot of toys and the problems plaguing the Tron toys have not been new to me. I've found that spinmaster isn't the only toy manufacturer guilty of shortpacked figures, "essential" figures being store exclusives, tones of pointless repaints, canceled figures that were promised etc. I'm leaving poor distribution out of that list because that problem is generally the fault of the retailer.

Both Hasbro and Mattel are guilty of all of the above. I'm not going to bore you with the particular details but if you request it of me I will type you an essay detailing the toy lines I collect and the similar problems I have experienced with them.

The Tron toy line is what it is. Could it have been better? Yeah, of course. However, neither Hasbro or Mattel would have done any better with this toy line. They are still bound by the financial restraints that Spinmaster is bound by. I'm happy with what I got because I got stuff period.

I actually think Spin master should have cut the 12" line to concentrate on the 6" and 3 3/4" lines.

The 12" figures were essentially the same as the 6" ones but with much less variety of characters to choose from and just.... bigger..... and it costs more. That's it! The features between those two scales were identical and when enlarged, their faults just became more apparent.

It's my opinion that if you're going to make a 12 inch toy, you make it amazing like a hot toys figure, or as a pre-posed statue like the big Mcfarlane or Neca figures.

You know, you could have turned this into the most successful April Fools Day prank on Tron Sector, ever. Haha. Anyways, congratulations again for procuring the Holy Grail of Tron figures.

Um...hate to break it to ya...not trying to make ya look bad...not ridiculin' ya...but those words were spoken here in these forums by 'WheatKing'....an employee from SpinMaster. The words were copied from HERE to put into the wiki page, apparently. Just sayin'....

Thank you for the clarification.
Im simply stating that anyone can google "tron legacy castor core figure" and the first hit albeit a wiki page may not be the definitive authority on the topic. I myself have not spoken to anyone officially linked to the product line, so regardless of what i find on the internets, im always careful to provide the reference with the "fact" as to not parrot potentially false information.

You lucked out, man. Still can't believe you snagged a Castor and for retail to boot. I would be SO tempted to crack that guy out of the box. The cane looks so cool, and seeing real pictures of Castor packaged just, like Boba says... perfect example of what could have been.

So glad to hear he got to you in good condition, Magnum. Thanks for sharing some pics.

It's even more beautiful than I imagined.

Thanks for sharing pics Magnum. I hope once your case is finished you can show some more.

Honestly I feel like we all won a little with this one. This figure could have gone to someone who just wanted to profit off of it, or it could have gone for a king's ransom in the first place. Or it could have been snapped up by someone with no interest in this website, and we would have never seen such nice pics.

Glad you're able and willing to share Magnum, and I think I speak for us all when I say I'm a little jealous but very happy it's got a good home.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill
