Let me apologize in advance for the length of this. Was watching an episode of my G1 Transformers Boxset on DVD and came up with this crossover idea:
Tron/G1 Transformers (NOT Bayformers, but may combine some elements):
Tron: I fight for the Users and the Autobots (LOL!!!!)
I could see it playing out like this:
It is the year 1985. After the Decepticons suffered a crippling blow due to a vicious slaughter laid down by A.H.A.D.A., (Autobot/Human Anti-Decepticon Alliance), a joint Federal-UN-AHADA resolution, Exec.Order 15552005 issues that any functioning Decepticons be immediately detained and deactivated, and sent to the Sun, while any Decepticon remains be melted down and launched into the poisonous gas cloud on Jupiter. A.H.A.D.A., with the help of Omega Supreme, Wheeljack, and the world's top scientists, works quickly to meet the 7-day deadline. A week later, humans all around the world rejoice as CNN broadcasts the launching of 2 spacecraft, fulfilling the successful execution of Exec. Order 15552005 - or was it?
Unknown to the humans and A.H.A.D.A., Cybertronian eyes intercept one of the 2 craft: Shockwave, after several unsuccessful attempts to contact Megatron, sends a Cybertronian Decepticon force out to investigate. They reach the craft with the dead Decepticons, Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave, and retrieve them quickly, leaving the craft still on its trajectory towards the Sun. The remains sent to Jupiter are lost. Megatron threatens to de-activate Shockwave if a "suitable" alternative isn't devised. With dwindling Energon production, the Decepticons must find another way to replenish their energy sources. Starscream insists on searching another galaxy, however, his concerns are vetoed by Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave and the remaining Decepticons on Cybertron. This leads to a intense squabble resulting in Starscream being damaged badly and locked in a cage in Shockwave's quarters. If Starscream attempts escape, Shockwave is to melt him down into scrap metal. With Starscream's dissent not a concern anymore, Megatron, and Soundwave with the help of some other Decepticons on Cybertron, recommission a Cybertronian shuttle and secretly head back to a familiar place.
Back on Earth, Kevin Flynn, once a victim of corporate theft, is riding high on the success of two of his creations: 1)Space Paranoids, and 2)TRON, both a successful videogame and film released by Disney Studios, 3 years prior. With the help of his friends, Alan Bradley, and Lora Baines-Bradley, Flynn continues to make ENCOM a pioneering entity in the world, secretly conducting groundbreaking research with a tool that made his most famous IP possible - the Shiva Laser. Little does Flynn know that his wave of success will soon change.
One night during a celebration at FLYNN's, Kevin receives a call from his Wife Jordan Canas - she states that as soon as she gets off work, she'll pick up their young Son Sam and then join him at the arcade. Kevin promises Sam that they'll play doubles on the famous TRON game. Thirty minutes pass, and still no sign of Jordan or Sam. Worried, Kevin calls his parents - no answer. He calls Jordan's employer - no answer. He asks Dr. Walter Gibbs and Lora to stay behind at the arcade, and asks Alan to join him. They storm out of FLYNN's determined to find out what happened.
Flynn and Alan jump into Flynn's 1985 Red Lamborghini Countach (LOL!!!!) and speed off towards Flynn's house. Several minutes later, they encounter a closed-off intersection, with 4 Police Cars guarding it. Flynn and Alan exit the car and begin to run forward - getting closer they notice a familiar car wrapped around a telephone pole and two bodies being rolled into ambulances on stretchers. The police order Alan and Flynn back - they refuse, demanding to know what happened: the authorities inform Flynn and Alan of the worst: that Jordan was killed instantly, and that Sam is unconscious, and is being rushed to the hospital. Crestfallen, Flynn throws Alan his keys. Alan drives back to the arcade to shut the arcade down, while Flynn rides to the hospital with his unconscious Son, Sam.
Alan reaches the arcade and breaks the news. Dr. Gibbs and Lora then make an announcement that they will be closing the arcade due to a personal situation. Just as they are turning off the last of the machines, they hear an explosion nearby followed by a growling - similar to that of a panther. Suddenly, a black panther, or rather a robot black panther appears, and knocks Dr. Gibbs to the ground. Lora runs to his aid, grabbing a baseball bat and begins beating this robot creature off, only to be knocked down. Lora kicks it, and sends it flying back into a wall. An explosion occurs, ripping off the roof of Flynn's.
As the smoke clears, they see that the robotic panther has disappeared, and is now replaced by 2 towering robotic organisms, both with a weird purple symbol on their chests: one with a huge black ion arm cannon and another with a big blue shoulder cannon. They introduce themselves as Megatron and Soundwave and they demand access to the Shiva Laser. Alan, Dr. Gibbs and Lora refuse, and the arcade-goers scream out, running to their cars, only to be forced back in, as to their horror, their cars shift and reform themselves in towering robots also with the weird purple symbol. Megatron demands again that they give him access to the Shiva Laser and again is met with a refusal. He aims his ion cannon at the TRON cabinet and blows it to pieces and orders Soundwave to oversee the stealing of the laser. Soundwave scans the arcade and detects that the laser is in the basement. He ejects Frenzy and Rumble to take care of stealing the Laser while the onlookers watch in horror. Lora and Alan run to the secret door trying to block it, but Frenzy picks up Alan and throws him against a wall. Just as Rumble breaks the lock, Lora jumps on him, and knocks him down the steps towards Flynn's secret chamber. She continues punching him until Ravage shows up and drags her back up the stairs. Dr. Gibbs then picks up a pipe and begins beating Ravage, but is knocked unconscious by Megatron. The other arcadegoers run out trying to escape. Megatron orders the Decepticon drones to then leave the arcadegoers alone, and then he, Soundwave, Frenzy, Rumble and 3 of the drones escape with the Shiva Laser, as well as Alan, Lora, and Dr. Gibbs.
At the hospital, Kevin Flynn sits in his Son's room watching him closely. Teary eyed, he begins telling Sam about his life, before he made it big, and just as he gets to a climactic point, his pager begins buzzing. He picks it up, and sees a familiar number. He frantically grabs the phone, it rings and starts to say Alan's name in the receiver. Alan starts talking in a hushed voice saying, "Flynn, they destroyed the arcade and they kidnapped me, Lora, Dr. Gibbs and the laser". Flynn says, "They who?". Just as he does, an evil voice answers the line saying, "It is I, Megatron, Leader of the Decepticons, and you will teach me about this laser or I will destroy you, your puny fleshling friends and this wretched mudball of a planet!". Flynn refuses. Suddenly, the roof of the hospital room rips open and to his surprise, he, and his son Sam are kidnapped by the Decepticons.
Back in Mt. St. Hilary, The Autobots, joined by Spike and Sparkplug are celebrating, enjoying the fact that they no longer have the Decepticons to worry about - or so they think. Suddenly, Teletran-1 reveals that it's receiving a transmission from a Lora Baines-Bradley. The name rings a bell in Spike's head - "That's the Wife of Alan Bradley, friend of Kevin Flynn, the awesomest computer programmer in the world!". Bumblebee then remarks about how many times he and Spike have beaten Gears, Trailbreaker and Brawn at the TRON game wirelessly (they've rigged it up through Teletran-1 lately since they haven't had Decepticons to worry about). Optimus asks Teletraan-1 for more detail -it reveals that the Decepticons have also kidnapped Lora's famous Shiva Laser, as well as Dr. Walter Gibbs, Lora, and Alan. The Decepticons have set up a temporary base in a very deep cave out in Nevada. Wheeljack surmises that Megatron may be using it to make Energon. Teletraan-1 also informs Optimus that Flynn's Arcade was damaged. Optimus orders the Autobots to Transform and Roll out into two teams: he orders Brawn, Gears, Trailbreaker, Perceptor, and the Protectobots to go to Flynn's and help clean up, and orders Bumblebee, Mirage, Hound, Ratchet, Ironhide, Wheeljack, and a few other Autobots to follow him.
What happens next? Will our ENCOM favorites get their favorite Shiva laser back? Will Megatron and his dastardly Decepticons achieve their goals? Will the Autobots help save the day? Tune in next week for the thrilling conclusion of: The Transformers: Data Bytes! (LOL!!!!! - 'Data Bytes' is a play on words)
