I just figured the ISOs are why my laptop likes to freeze up on me randomly from time to time. Chaos in the system...

So on that line, would a defrag of the hard drive wipe out a bunch of the ISOs?

Yup. You would be just as bad as CLU.

Disc Warrior Wrote:If they downplayed ISO's or explained them too much, it would turn into a midichlorien talk. Obi Wan gave a perfectly good explanation of what the force was in IV but then in I they had to go give a mystical power a scientific explanation that sort of took away from the force.

The problem is, they'll either have to deal with Quorra and her gifts to humanity in a Tron 3 or come up with a plot that gets them too busy to deal with it, putting off the issue - which is what will probably end up happening, to be honest. Maybe some little explanation later diminishing the ISOs, nothing more. Write it off as having been created by Kevin Flynn while wielding his new user powers, not quite fully aware of all the powers users have within the system. Thus they're user-created, at a minimum. The rest can just be left hanging with the suggestion of a lower significance given their newly discovered, and less impressive, history. Give it as much screen time as the revolution got in Legacy and call it a day

Hell, if they don't write themselves to disk and only exist in memory, you might kill them each time you shut down or reboot your computer.

Just think how many deaths Microsoft and most Windows apps (your app is installed. Reboot to use!) are responsible for?

On a side note, are Mac-based ISOs going to tell me how much better they are than PC ISOs? And what about all the Linux ISOs telling me how Open Source is my future and how I should ditch both Apple and Microsoft ISOs and come with them? With the BSD ISOs snickering that Linux ISOs have gone mainstream and UNIX ISOs telling me they're still better than Linux?order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

That's okay, I took this one step further and started a Tron-esque story about our screwy copier at work. So far all I have is the User Interface Liaison yelling to everyone that there's a user at the keypad and noting that "it's that User who's always swearing at us." (To which the Paper Output Manager replies, "which one??" In this case though, the UIL is referring to me...)

Funny idea: Why not base TRON 3's story in a Super Nintendo?

To be honest, I really do only accept a story which takes place a few hours or days after Legacy and focuses on Sam getting his dad back, studying Quorra and/or having some epic grid fights with Dillinger or something. They must not create something like LOST again which loses all its credibility after S3.

For TRON 3, I'll be very strict story-wise. This time I see the flaws as "inexperience", since it is Joes first film and he knows how critics and people reacted.

They must listen to the critics and the fans. That said, throwing every non-important pseudo-innovative story element away which just confuses people and concentre on reintegrating the Grid into somewhere else and get Flynn back to life - maybe as an ISO, maybe real. Does not matter. And for sake create new and innovative grid games for the "modern grid" if Sam integrates it into new Encom servers and fights off Dillingers programs / himself.

However they really need to focus on the story telling, the script lines, the emotional play and development of the actors/characters. This time, the reunion between Sam and Flynn must be the most emotional part in all TRON movies. Not just "Hi" "Hi".
The style and the world of TRON is established in to the 21th century now. They just need to sum up everything to a satisfying, emotional and more spectacular ending in TRON 3.

And please, get some good screenwriter which is a true fan of TRON, not those TV series authors again. where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

LOL, yep sounds like a perfect story to apply to our work systems. Maybe if we offered them chocolate or liquid energy, they'd be nicer to us Users.

I could also do one about that stupid new program they've got us using at work...could be working on killing that off instead of the MCP. Just writing some of my coworkers* into a computer world would be humor in itself.

*(One of my bosses: "Hey, can you come help me for a minute? I have a typing problem." *we go into his office* "Okay, see how the writing is all slanty? I want it to go straight up and down like the rest of it." *I lean over and unclick the "italics" icon on Word* "There you go.")

I have a concrete vision of how a grid fight between Sam and Dillinger can be very fascinating and intense to the audience:

Show this climax fight from the inside AND the outside of the computer.

I will call Dillingers grid programm D2.0 so you won't get confused.

---|---|---|------|---|---|------|---|---|------|---|---|------|---|---|------|---|---|---

Starting Situation:
Sam faces off Dillingers program in an 1 on 1 battle. Maybe in some sort of big game, not necessarily a simple fight. While Sam is caught in the grid and beats the shit out of Dillingers alter ego, Dillinger notices this system activities on his monitor.
Sam and D2.0 fight in the computer. *CUT*

Outside
You see Dillinger in his office getting angry from the outside while watching on his screen. The camera zooms on the error-log on his monitor. *CUT*

Inside
You see the two fighting in the computer. Sam gets punched and falls on his back. Then suddenly D2.0 program stops and looks into the (dark) sky of the grid. *CUT*

Outside
Dillinger is typing commands on his screen. You see him becoming very nervous and enthusiastic. Next he realises that his program is getting attacked - by Sam.
Dillinger: "Do you think you are the only user here?" *CUT*

Inside
D2.0: "Thought wrong!"
Fight scene moves to another small climax and suddenly D2.0 becomes more powerful. Now he forces Sam to flee. Next, D2.0 is hunting him trough the system, spawning traps and enemies next to his victim.
In the next scene you see everything derezz. *CUT*

Outside
Flynn/Quorra is sitting on a computer and typing in code. He/she somehow achieved access to the server. He/she smiles. *CUT*

Dillinger screams and punches on his screen while standing up and walking around in circles, brainstorming what to do next. *CUT*

Inside:
Sam: "Okay...", looks around realises that someone seems to manipulate the server to his advantage. He looks at D2.0 and grins sardonic: "What you gonna do now?" *CUT*

... I did not think about what comes next in detail. Of course, D2.0 gets destroyed somehow and Sam can escape off the server. However, those details can be made by Joe himself.

What we know: (from T:L and the info on the upcoming "teaser" for "Tron 3")

1. Sam has finally taken control over Encom.
2. Alan is now the new Chairman of the Board.
3. Alan finds Ram (aka the Popcorn Guy) and discovers that he is responsible for Flynn Lives
4. Ed Dillenger and Ed Dillenger Jr. have some sort of plan involving Encom (BTW, now do we really know he's a junior? A father and son can have the same first and last name and not have the same middle name, and not be a junior. I should know, my dad and I have both the same first and last name, and different middle names. People refer to me strictly as Daniel while they refer to him as "Dan")
5. The world knows of Quorra, but not of what she is.
6. We know that Tron is back to his old self
7. Sam may/may not have downloaded the Grid onto the Chip.
8. That Alan and Lora Bradley are married and have been for a long time. This means that there may be a son (or sons) and/or daughter (or daughters) in their family that may also be working at Encom.
9. Since Sam is now in control of Encom, we know that they have a massive server farm, much like how they did in the original film. It's possible that Sam may incorporate the Grid (if he did download it onto the chip) into the Encom servers. (Note: Since CLU repurposed many programs for his Army, it could be possible that Sam downloaded a backup copy of the Grid, so even if it did get "wiped" as many believe, it could be possible the backup may restore all programs that were repurposed by CLU).
10. It may be possible that if Encom discontinued the digitization process in the 1980s, Sam may lead to bringing back the digitization lab for use.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

LWSrocks Wrote:Why end the series with TR3N? I believe the original plans were to create a new trilogy, not finish a trilogy. As in, TR2N+TR3N+TR4N, not TRON+TR2N+TR3N.

It depends on how they want to split the movie up, to be honest. You can let Tron 3 focus on rebuilding Kevin Flynn but who would be the antagonist? We could put in New MCP as the bad guy, I suppose, leaving the Dillingers for part 4. You then get into figuring out how to get everyone back into the grid for Flynns vs. Dillingers.

Still, a trilogy would include the first. You wouldn't claim 2-4 were a trilogy with 1 being some bizarre offshoot thing. It wouldn't really make sense. That's not to say that "trilogy" didn't simply mean, "make 3 more." I'm sure that if 3 was made, as soon as it hit home release, you'd see boxed sets of the Tron Triolgy.

Now... a new trilogy could mean AFTER tron 2 and tron 3 but that's probably pushing it.. ; )

Is it sad that this pops into my head sometimes, like today when my coworker was pissed at the copier and yelling at it, and I wanted to lean over it and say loudly, "SEE GUYS, IT'S NOT JUST ME!"???

It's most likely little Ed does know about it. He touted the security features of OS12 and the call, sure. Plus, let's be honest, there's nothing better for a father-son relationship than for the son to carry on the war that the father started ; )
