I think the Black Eyed Peas thing is interesting. Anything that promotes Tron Legacy positivly is good. If they are true fans of the movie and just want to show it off, then that's good too. If they're just doing it for the money and mooching off the popularity of the movie, then that's bad and they should stop before people get tired of it and it becomes a lame Internet meme.

Also, no offense to any Justin Bieber fans, but there needs to be a great distance between Tron and Bieber. I want them to have nothing to do with each other. Ozzy is okay, but it seems like he's just selling out these days.

In the Pre-Game show they were showing a taped segment with two players (I think from Greenbay?) being interviewed and my wife noticed that they were playing "Derezzed" in the background. It was truly a very Tron-ish Super Bowl.

I am mixed between the Tron 'homages' during the super bowl. But I am excited that this means that Tr3n is officially green lit. You can't have this much pop culture exposure, merchandising, marketing, and an animated series without Tr3n.

I disagree. While BEP, Bieber, and Ozzy are all musical artists, only one of them is actually using official Tron related props and doing it right. The other is just a phone commercial ripping off the style of Tron Legacy. I know I like BEP more than Bieber, and my opinion is valid as such. That's not to say I like BEP a lot, or even a little, but I do not generally dislike them as much as I do Bieber. The Black Eyed Peas wer terrible but I loved the Tron references! I did like the best buy commercial though, it was really funny with heavy Tron overtones.

"Doing it right". That is your opinion, to us "not biased by pop-music lust" both sets of artists (and I use that term lightly) are ripping off the style of TRON legacy when neither should be. Your arguement of who you like better though enlightening is kinda a mess too. It doesn't matter how much you like either BEP or Bieber, you can't vocally disqualify one and permit the other without it looking hypocritcal and your comparison of Carrot Top VS. Bruce Boxleitner is also laughable because you are comparing an acting role (which producers and casting directors make judgements of who is appropriate all the time) to performances by two different people using a style of costuming. Well....I don't like his music. So you're saying you don't mind? You like that Bieber was involved in that commercial? You said you disliked him too, but you're defending him. By your logic, anyone and everyone can and should rip off Tron Legacy without hesitation. Lets bring in a hokey CG Yogi Bear and Boo Boo in Tron style for a hilarious skit now! I have opinions and would rather not have one person be even remotely related to Tron than another. What is so difficult for you to understand about that? However, if it will make you happy, then I will say that no one should be allowed to use Tron Legacy's style.
