Yesterday I had the chance to go to London for the day.

It was a great trip. I caught the train early, and having finished what I needed to do I did some sight seeing.
Not only did I see most of the main attractions (like Big Ben, Tower Bride, etc), but I managed to go to Forbidden Planet, which sells all many of sci-fi & fantasy merchandise (located at 179 Shaftsbury Avenue).
I must admit, given the size & popularity of this store, I was a bit disappointed they had just a handful of Tron stuff-two figures, two die-cast vehicles (both Clu’s Command Ship) & the Deluxe light up Light Runner (which the guy next to me picked up and brought-although I’ve already got one of those anyway :P ).
They did, however, have a BIG stack of Sam’s Disks on display, at least 12 of them (again, something else I’ve already got).

One thing that DID cheer me up is that they did have on display (in cabinets) two VERY collectable figurines. The first was a highly detailed Tron: Legacy Kevin Flynn (about 12” tall) with real details & clothing, and the other was a figurine of the Original Tron (again about 12” high), both limited edition collectors items.

This is the exact same figure in TRN_au's photo.

Unfortunately, they were VERY expensive and were WAY beyond the amount of money I had available at the time (the Kevin Flynn figure cost £299! :P).

In the end I brought Clu’s Command Ship (even though I wasn’t really planning to). Having said that, though, when I got home I was quite pleased with it really, and for some reason it seems to really ‘complete’ the collection I now have on display.
This is the main problem I have now-most of the shops that I have visited that I KNOW stock merchandise (even in London) have (a) got a VERY limited range available for sale and (b) it’s all stuff I’ve already got.
Which means that if I want to get anything new (anything DIFFERENT) I’ll probably have to go online from now on.

Got my 2012 Tron calendar today, really like it.

I think it's better than the 2011, the colors really pop. Too bad it didn't get released in the US (or I never found it.) Had to get it from Amazon after looking all over for it (and the one with the characters that wasn't released, or at least no one ever found it.)

Yeah, I got mine for $10 inc. shipping. And that's a horrible price, just like those Kevin discs for $200. I don't like it when companies make fewer of certain things (it happened with Tron, Thor and Captain America)! Why cant they just make a lot of everything? Like you never hear that happening with Star Wars figures, there is always lots to go around!

Got a series 2 Clu today from Big Lots, it was $4. There were also some Rinzlers, Black Guards, Quorra and a Jarvis. They also had the 7 in. figures and Sam's and Kevin's light cycle and one man light jets. Then I went to Harbor Freight Tools and got some router bits, clamps and wheels for the arcade I am making. Since my router is only 1/2 in. and bits are 1/4 in. I got a new router for $28!!!!

And if anyone cares I got some cereal with Star Wars in 3D pens in it.....
