Outside of Tron I haven't been to impress with what Disney has been putting out lately. I think Pirates of the Caribbean should have stop with the first one as well as Cars. Hopefully the third installment of Pirates of the Caribbean will yield better then the second installment. ^That ups my faith that there is going to be a Tr3n. (I think we need to give it a better fan name lol...) They are giving a first time director another shot to build up his resume with Black hole and Oblivion. That's trust.

Judging by the fact the topic has surprisingly dropped off the first page of Legacy topics, has no new information/rumours surfaced in the past few days?
Also, how do the mods feel about a dedicated TR3N/Threequel board?

Mostly there's just speculation. All we can really do is wait until April 5th...

I have the record album (Yes I still have a record player) of the original Tron soundtrack, nearly worn from my playing it so much. Now I listen to it on grooveshark. I can tell each scene just from listening to the music.
Daft Punk was ok if you like noise, but I only liked Rinzler's Theme.
Forget it, Mr High and Mighty Master Control. You aren't making me talk.

FYI. This thread is not a discussion of the Tron Legacy Soundtrack.
I've watched movies for 30 yrs. IMO, the Daft Punk soundtrack was excellent, one of the best I've ever heard, equal in quality to soundtracks for Star Wars, Close Encounters, Blade Runner, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix trilogy, Tim Burton's Batman, and the original Tron, in my opinion.
The soundtrack brilliantly blended elements of Vangelis, Tangeriene Dream, and Hanz Zimmer into a magificant score that I feel enhances each scene in the movie, giving them further reasonance and poiniance.
It's not "noise". And it's very unfair and dismissive to the tremendous, quality work and heart that went into the development of the soundtrack to call it "noise".
The Denver Film Critics has awarded the Tron Legacy soundtrack with a "best film soundtrack of 2010" award.. as shown in this article:

I wouldn't lose hope if this true. I would be willing to bet an official announcement is being saved for SDCC. Did anyone see the story about Cindy Morgan at www.comicbookmovie.com. they claim she has had some kind of contact from disney about Tr3n.
