Will she end up being Sam's wife probably in the 3rd installment?

Let's hope not. Let's not take this TOO fast. As I've said in another thread, they're two people who barely know each other who got tossed together by some pretty wild events (what's that line from the Speed movie, something like "you know, they say relationships based on traumatic events never work out"); huge upheaval in the lives of both of them (especially hers); right now pretty much only joined together by the fact that they both knew the same guy, possibly a bit of physical attraction, and some vague, open-ended world-saving mission.

Quorra's going to be pretty dependent on Sam for a while, and trying to sort out not only what she's going to do with her life but how she's going to adjust to the real world; Sam's going to be dealing with the whole thing with his dad not to mention suddenly running a big company, and both are going to be taking on what sounds like a pretty big and idealistic project. Doesn't sound like a good environment to start a romantic relationship if you ask me. I mean, they're pretty much stuck with each other for now, at least until Quorra is with-it enough to be able to stand on her own two feet and do her own thing (which means she'll need to somehow get some sort of false identity, get a job so she can get her own place to live, etc. unless they rebuild the Grid and she goes back to live there most of the time but that's another discussion in itself); it would suck to complicate that with something so volatile as romance. As anyone who's had a roommate knows, it'll be a hard enough situation if they're just friends. At this point it'd be like dating a coworker--it might be great while it lasts, but when you split up, you're still stuck being around that person all the time (because Sam can't just toss her out to fend for herself in the world). Ouch.

Actually, the way I could see it going (if they don't just burn out from stress and lack of time) is that Quorra clings to him at first, then she starts to get her feet under her and get more independent and realize she doesn't really need him anymore and that her feelings for him may've stemmed out of dependence. Meanwhile, Sam's probably kinda getting tired of the needy girlfriend routine (which in the beginning would almost be more like raising a child than having a girlfriend--he has to support her financially, teach her how to live in the world, try to get her independent enough to be on her own, etc.), even though he knows it's not her fault... or maybe her splitting up with him totally takes him by surprise and I could see one or the other running off and disappearing for a while to get their bearings...

Yep. Lot of bad implications for a relationship there. I say if they're going to do it, slow and steady wins the race. Or as it goes in my fanfic (which takes place about a year after T:L) when Sam is introducing Quorra to the story's main character, "Quorra is...well, it's a bit complicated, but for now let's just say she's my...roommate? Girlfriend? I'll explain more later.”

What do you want? I'm busy.

Program, please!

Chaos.... good news.

Impossible to say what they do with this.

If I were writing it, I'd write it so that Quorra became, after an initial period of euphoria, disillusioned with how different and in many ways flawed the Real World is. I'd have her pining to go back to The Grid, and I'd also have her experiencing physical problems due to the fact she's a flesh construct based on digital code.

Of course, all of this would need to be part of a larger plot dealing with the world-changing nature of the ISO. Would Sam try to re-create the climate which birthed the ISOs in the first place? Quorra should be key to that. Perhaps ENCOM will try to wrest the ISO tech from Sam's hands, courtesy of Dillinger Jr. Quorra would be stuck in the middle.

This is just one way to go with it. There are tons of other ways. But having Sam and Quorra live happily ever after... it would be a Disney ending for sure, but it wouldn't work for this franchise.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

'Cause we wouldn't want any character development in our Tron movies, right?

I think we should keep in mind that Quorra is almost like Sam's half-sister, rather than a love interest. Flynn is her "creator," but you could also look at him as her father. I thought that this was part of the reason why there wasn't much focus on a romantic or sexual attraction between the two. That, and it's a Disney flick (but then again so are the Pirates movies).abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

^But she was self created. He created her world so that's why she recognizes him as "the creator".

they would be boyfriend-girlfriend at the most. sam wouldn't go that fast with quorra, since she barely knows anything about the real world. plus, quorra would be too reliant on sam, so they would probably be a teacher-student type of relationship. order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

I was thinking more like a brother-little sister relationship. He has to take care of her and guide her.

Teachers don't necessarily take care of students or guide them through every aspect of life, like Sam will, but I know what you mean.

Come on. Answer this question honestly- do you really want to go to a TRON MOVIE and watch Sam teach Quorra about the world? I know I wouldn't.

I was joking, but, I mean, I suppose not. Flashing lights and no substance is all I want. (Another joke). It isn't as if that is going to happen anyway. Honestly, the main allure is the grid itself, not the real world. I can see the real world playing into it heavily in the third film. I'd assume that it would be a ways into Quorra's stay in the "real world", so any teaching would be unnecessary for the most part.

As far as Quorra and Sam go, it's hard for me to think of her as a sister type to him. I've already got it in my head that they're heading down the path of a relationship (slowly, I'd hope).

I think people here want it to be like the kissxsis anime.

Quorra should remain an asexual object or this thread may get shut down by the rusty wheels.

Kosinski said in a recent interview that a Sam/Quorra romance wasn't prominently featured in the film because they didn't want it to interfere with the Father/Son reunion story. Although, he did hint that whatever their relationship is at the end of TRON LEGACY is quite possibly turning into a romantic one. Olivia Wilde also said in a few interviews that she played Quorra as if she was falling in love with Sam.

I'm pretty sure that by the time the sequel comes around, the film will start with Sam and Quorra already having been a couple for a while.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

You never know; I imagine the both of them are going to get very busy very quickly with this whole "isomorphic algorithms' digital DNA eliminating disease" business. It might be the second film opens near a moment when Sam and Quorra finally catch a breath, look at each other and "Hey, wait a second - I feel something for you..."

Disney will most likely want to keep the "family" dynamic going in the next film, which is what makes me think that the Sam/Quorra courtship will have occurred between films and that they will most likely be married by then(it is Disney after all). Doing it that way makes the "will they/won't they?" question a non-issue. It also raises the stakes for each character without having to sacrifice any precious screen time to do it.

Also, part of me thinks one of the main ways that Sam and Quorra will change the world is by introducing ISO DNA into the population using a more... ahem... old fashioned method, so to speak. I know this sounds like a joke, but I'm serious. Eventually(it'd take a looooooong time), the majority of the population would have at least some ISO DNA in them.

i wonder what's the feeling to have sex with such a sexy "ISO"? @@

well, i cant possibly believe that Disney will be in a position to destroy Quorra's compassionate and childlike image. Quorra is one of the selling point of the movie and they know that. i dont think she will have a relationship with Sam, probably close friends at best.

LWSrocks Wrote:As I said earlier, I believe that they should do the SamxQuorra story in the form of comics or a tv miniseries or something like that so that it doesn't take too much time to be explained in the movie.

I get where you're going with that, but the last time they tried to tell backstory in comic form for a big blockbuster flick was with Star Trek: Countdown. I loved Trek '09, but if I hadn't read Countdown I wouldn't have seen any of the backstory I knew in the final movie. Most people who saw the movie didn't read the comics. And the comics weren't canonical anyways.

The movies should have to stand on their own, creating continuity between them, but to jump medium like that is to leave the majority of your audience behind.

In an odd way, she's his quasi-niece. A creation of his father's creation, but only if the grid is a sibling, heh heh.

I'd like it best if they acted like brother and sister, but we'll see.
