Question about Light Jet Battle?

on Thursday, January, 13, 2011 8:54 PM
After watching the film for the fourth time, I started wondering: why did Clu and his crew try to shoot down the Flynns with their light jets? Wouldn't that lead to the destruction of Kevin Flynn's disc too?order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I was thinking that too. I guess that the disc could be retrieved out of the sea? The thing is, I don't know if programs can breath digi-water. They aren't human after all so do they even need to breath in the first place?
Or do they have submarines?
That or Clu wasn't thinking, which I doubt because he's meticulous.

My assumption was that Kevin Flynn's disc could NOT be destroyed...hence, it would be like retrieving the black box from an airplane.

I don't recall though...when a program is derezzed...is their disc destroyed too?order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I know when they showed that program get derezzed during Sam's disc wars match the programs disc fell to the floor with it's lights out.

I think it depends. User's disks might be indestructible while a program's disk isn't.
One way of knowing would be to watch a program's disk in a battle. I think the loser's disk derezzes along with them.

There seems to be a trend in Legacy that when you destroy a vehicle, the conductor of that vehicle is thrown clear (see: lightcycle chase, Rinzler, the light-jets that were shot down). So presumably they'd be able to retrieve the disc after Flynn gets knocked out of the light-jet.

Alternately, we could accept that the writers tuned out for the last 1/3 of the flick and that the whole thing went sideways...

Why would programs need to breath at all?

First I LOLed, then I realized you've got something there.

Everything in the Grid is supposed to be kind of representative of a computer's function, right? What could the Sea of Simulation be? Maybe occupied processor/RAM space, no cycles available for any other program? Some kind of environment hostile to programs.. what would suffocate a program in that way? order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Which brings up the question whether Tron survived or not.
Also, is the sea of simulation the same as the energy water the programs drink?

Maybe those blackguards would've derezzed Flynn's jet and the disc would fall through the remains unharmed and then they could use those grapnel zip lines to catch the disk? Just putting that out there.

Well due to the fact that we saw Sam bleed during the games, and bleeding was recognized as a unique trait of Users...It could be that Users don't actually derezz, but just become corpses like in the 'real world'. Clu2 might have learned this from Flynn, as they did spend a lot of time together (according to Tron: Betrayal), and User death may have come up at some point.

So, has it been confirmed that indeed...on the light cycle grid...and pretty much everywhere a program is derezzed...the disc remains?

If that's the case, then the attack and retrieval ideas make sense with the light jets.

It would be kinda cool if that really is the case. It would mean that the grid has a regulatory system all it's own. That and anyone that loves forensics might be able to use a derezzed programs disc to reconstruct any illegal deresolutions or retireve any other pertinent data after a program is long since derezzed. I wonder if forged discs are basically discs from derezzed users.

Seems to be that way. Tron/Rinzler got a second disc after its user Derezzed.
