Hi, new to these forums...
For some reason, I'm unable to use the search function.
I was wondering if anyone can confirm whether Walmart has in fact discontinued selling Tron merchandise? I've checked 4 different stores in search of a deluxe Clu light cycle (knowing it's a Walmart exclusive), only to find absolutely no sign of anything Tron-related in the aisles at any of them.
It didn't occur to me to ask an associate.

ive still seen some tron stuff in some walmarts here in alabama although the super store here in my town hasnt ever stocked any since day one and ours a couple yrs ago was the southeasts largest walmart so i dunno i think some walmarts are just refusing or are not being allowed to stock em, its been frustrating cuz ive been having to drive 30+ miles to find anything

Hi tylerzero - there's plenty of TRON: LEGACY merchandise out there... where did you look? Also, plenty of ways to order it online from Amazon, Target, Walmart, Toys 'R Us, etc.

Again, I'm wanting to get the deluxe Clu light cycle, but am not willing to pay $30 or $ 40 on Amazon.com or ebay, respectively; I haven't found it available anywhere else online.

I know that the a WalMart closest to me had no TRON toys when I checked last week. However I never asked if they ever carried them or what. I simply went to Target. I might have to go to Toys R Us because the Target stores carry alot of the basic stuff but still have little or no Series 2 stuff and I have never seen the flying ID disc ever on sale in any of the stores I have been to.

It just sucks that the Clu light cycle is only available at Walmart...that's why it baffles me that Walmart would discontinue selling it, much less all things Tron, entirely.
Guess I'll just be happy with the Sam and Kevin Flynn light cycles and one-man light jet I bought from TARGET.

All the Wal-Marts in my area have the Tron toys (there are4total here) still. Maybe they moved them to a special display?

there are clus i think they still might have them in the canadian walmarts and also the frisbee discs are in canadian toys r uses

Depends on the Wal-Mart.
A "third world" Wal-Mart had all the TRON stuff from the beginning - and I just got a bunch of Series 2 stuff from it.
The "middle class America" one about 6 miles away had no TRON stuff whatsoever (and never had anything in) - they needed the room for the vast amounts of Zhu Zhu stuff...
Go figure...

Huh, it seems all over the place with Wal-Mart, then. None of them in my area put anything on clearance (except the Clu cycle) and they still had them as of Friday. Wondering what's going on? It's worrisome, anyway. Despite the fact a third series has been solicited through Previews, I don't know that the line could survive retail without Wal-Mart. Maybe.

All I see are a handful of diecast Recognizers, a few of the bike racing sets and one of the white lightcycles in a store near me.
Pretty much all of the Tron merch available at launch is gone...

Well, here in San Diego, none of the Wal-Marts carried Tron at all...
still, Toys R US and Target kept restocking constantly as figures were selling steadily...
I wouldn't be too worried...

Oh it will survive without Wal-Mart. Now if Toys R' Us and Target start immediately ditching TRON Legacy toys then I think we should be concerned. Wal-Mart is big but Toys R' Us and Target are big also and I have a feeling that word of mouth is keeping those two as the best sources for the TRON toys anyway. I know the Wal-Mart closest to me didn't carry the collection in store but on the web they were selling the toys. Just went to my local Toys R Us and Target yesterday. The Target had tons of stuff, but the Toys R Us was sold out of almost everything except the RC Zero G Lightcycles and Ultimate Sam Flynn figures. I was assuming they hadn't re-stocked yet.
I'll check my local Wal-Mart when I head over there today. My Toys R Us had $5 Tron posters and I need to get a frame for the one I got.

Just to let you know the last time I was there (about a month ago) the Walmart at Parkway plaza in El Cajon was selling Tron Stuff.
