The TRON themed Disney Castle comes up and then the screen shows the MPAA rating screen and that is all......No hidden scenes at the end.

I have this wish that Castor and Jem had somehow escaped the destruction of the End of Line club and arrived at the portal a while after it closed, only to find Rinzler crawling out of the Sea of Simluation. They approach him warily as he collapses on a rock and rolls over.
"Er - Rinzler?" Castor asks.
"No," the voice comes from within the helmet, which peels away to reveal the features of a young Alan Bradley. "Not any more. My name... is Tron."
Castor shrugs with his eyebrows. "First bit of good news all cycle. Well, Tron," he says as he and Gem put an arm over each of their shoulders and lift the exhausted security program to his feet. "No time to natter, I'm afraid. Gotta get you back to town before the system finishes going on standby. Did you know it's named after you?"

Stop the scene at the point where TRON says "Not any more." and to me that would be perfect. It would mirror the shot of CLU from the teaser shown at ComiCon.

did you think of that just now o-o ?
well that's some creativity
loved how you played castor with his personality
keep it up ;D
and as for the ending, just having a 2 second clip of a hand coming out of the sea would've been amazing enough

I agree with you Iso, if the scene ended right there it would have been perfect. Plus the mirroring, like you said, would be a nice little nod to that original piece of media they had on Tron: Legacy, or if you guys saw the original piece, TR2N. I wish they had put that in there. So many fans would have freaked at the sight of Tron's face. I know I would have been one of them.

It's really strange too how they ended the film. It really feels like a sequel wasn't even in mind with Legacy. Does the ending leave questions? Sure. But nothing that seems like it'd make for a good sequel. The only way a sequel would feel necessary was if there were still humans trapped in the grid and the only way to save them is to go in after them. Or a similar scenario with humanity's entire digital communication network being put on the line (ala Lawnmower Man). But none of that happened, the Grid has been cleansed and shut down, so... what else is there?
All that's left seems to be Quorra, who, because of what she is, is now the single most valuable scientific object on the planet. That could lead to TONS of inter-corporate espionage, kidnappings, etc, but that's all "real world" stuff, which kinda makes calling it a Tron film a moot point, because who wants a Tron film with no cyber-world?

there's much discussion about the destruction of the grid
many say it was just the portal that imploded and not the whole grid itself
i'm not sure which to believe
but it's always good to remain positive and keep and open mind of a sequel
because i just can't get enough of garett and olivia

That implosion was Kevin becoming one with CLU again. The portal wouldn't cause an explosion like that.

d'oh
that's what i meant :P
just worded it poorly
i'm saying the explosion from kevin flynn only destroyed the the portal + area around it and not the grid itself

Tron Fanatic:
I see where you're coming from, but I'll have to respectfully disagree. Why?
#1)The Ed Dillinger Jr. cameo
#2)The fact that Sam is going to promote Alan Bradley back up the chain, consequently demoting Dillinger Jr.
#3)The fact that Sam stored the grid on his sd card - I have a feeling that he may upload into a server at ENCOM and try to rebuild it, and I figure that there will be some drama between him, Dillinger Jr. and Alan, as well as Quorra - that's what I feel is the basis for Tron 3. It could be that Junior was just so good that his skills were enough to overlook his papa's actions.
