I have 3 Kevin discs, but I plan to mod them and offer as completed Full Kit discs.

I have finally made enough money on ebay to buy two deluxe discs. Got a Kevin Flyyn and Rinzler onne, can't wait to get them. I am so gonna take a picture of me with one and put it on my facebook!!

Hi everyone...new member here. I loved the movie and have been actively collecting the toys...well at least the ones I can find. The ironic thing is that Spinmaster has a Mississauga office....which is close to were I work but being in Canada we get a quarter of the stuff that the US gets. I have often traveled to Buffalo in search of stuff I can't find locally but it gets expensive...anyway, I am wondering if anyone has spares of the white Kevin Flynn or red\black Rinzler Deluxe illuminated discs that they would be willing to sell me? I found the Blue disc on a recent US trip and every trip I have made looking for the other two discs has come up empty handed. I will cover all costs just hoping that someone will help a fellow collector out...and if there is anything that Canada got (unlikely) but the US didn't I would be more than happy to ship it to you....

The original LEDs used in the discs are white 3mm ones, I used 60 3mm for the edge ring and will put 48 in the C-ring (once the distribution of the UK toys are finished - the whole thing is still stressing me out).

A couple of years ago I bought 1000 white 3mm LEDs from a China eBay seller for about 40 pounds, I used the first 300 for a bike like which uses 10 watts at full power and completely lights up cycle paths and unlit roads at night - so fun to ride with.

If you're only planning on using a few LEDs to brightly light up the disc you'll need to diffuse them or you'll get hotspots like the original 6-LED array, one initial way is to cut their heads off if you don't get flat headed ones, the best way is to use a grinder so you can file them down quickly (wear a dust mask!), then work out some way of diffusing them further as the original ring plastics are quite translusive so don't diffuse well.

You will need to use resistors for the LEDs, http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz is a great resistor calculator for individual or multiple LEDs powered from whatever voltage source you're using. If you don't use resistors you risk burning out the LEDs.

The major difference I've noticed between 3mm & 5mm white LEDs are the beamspread, they give out generally the same amount of light, the 5mm LEDs produce a more spotlight type beam whilst the 3mm produce a more flood-like beam with bright center (which is why I chose 3mm for my bike light).where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

I know that you can do that at Tron Fans, which is pretty neat. We got our first spammer there not too long ago.

Thats a cool mod but I think you might want to paint the insides black so that the light doesn't shine through so badly.
