Well, as long as the tweets from people about it are positive, then so much the better. There's a lot of hate out there towards Tron Legacy, most of it intended to frustrate the fans who really enjoyed it rather than truly inform and constructively criticize. The less that garbage is noticable, the better. I want T:L to succeed enough to inspire a sequel and maybe even more.

Were there any non-3D scenes or shots after Sam gets onto the Grid? I've tried to pay attention to that without it ruining my viewing experience, and I haven't noticed a scene yet that doesn't have some element of 3D.

I saw TRUE GRIT last night. It, too, was awesome.
That being said: the average age of the audience was hovering somewhere around 50.
I think that the inversely proportional number of tech-savvy people to age ratio has a lot
to do with the number of tweets about any given movie. I'm not trying to take away the excellence that was T:L, but rather to explain the continued phenomenon of Tron Tweets ruling the charts. Not too many young'uns are gonna go see a western, much less tweet about it. And the Fockers movie is just a sequel. No merchandising opportunities there.

It IS funny to me that Little Fockers got about the same traffic as True Grit, though. I predict that LF is a quick hit that will fade out fast. True Grit will hang around a long while and might even still be in the discount theaters when the DVD comes out. And T:L (Still playing on 4 screens [1 IMAX-3D, 2 Normal 3D, and 1 Normal 2D] at my theater of choice) will make more than either of them when the final tally's come in.

Actually -- many sci-fi adventure action films often do not do well... it's a tough genre to crack. but yeah, you're right. the first tron was made so long ago, not a lot of the new fans would know about it. D: and i heard it was a flop too...
