Hey, quick questions

1. Can anyone tell me how to swap the LED lights within the figures
2. Best way to paint over the translucent plastic so the light still shines through?

Being a complete idiot about electronics, I was thinking of trying my hand at soldering out the LED from one and soldering in another.

Would that work with a sharp soldering iron point?

1.- Kind of tricky. The LED is extremely small and it would be very difficult to extract from the electronics board. The board itself is soldered to the battery compartment contacts, so removing it from the figure could also end in you ruinning the figure.

2.- I did just that with a Sam Flynn figure. I applied several coats of a green glaze solution to the inside of the torso piece, until the tint was to my liking. For an image look halfway at theprevious page in this same thread.

On Sam the glazing technique worked because the original torso is pretty much colorless, but I don't think it'd work for Rinzler or Clu.

Well, the process is pretty straightforward.

I used Citadel's Green Glaze applied to the inside of the torso, applied about 12 coats of it, letting each one dry thoroughly before applying the next. The glaze tends to pool at the lower points, so, make sure to check for an even coverage.

As for the outer markings, don't remove the original paint, as it will serve you as a guide to paint upon. The limbs ara fairly easy to paint, but the torso detail is deceptively shallow, so painting the ovals can get tricky. My advice there is to be patient and work slowly.

Once you get the new color in, go over the figure with black to tidy up the overal outline.

Thanks. Shame, I was hoping to turn Rinzler into Tron. Guess I'll just have to sacrifice the lights

LWSrocks Wrote:It's possible, people have done it before I'm sure. In this thread, even. But you do know there already is a "Redeemed Rinzler" core figure that is basically Tron.

That one was just a Prototype. Believe me, I was damn excited when I saw it, but after keeping an eye on both the sites selling it and this forum, it ended up being the same as Series 1. So yeah. I figured since it may not get made, I'd have to do it myself. I'm not a newbie to customizing. But LED's and transparent plastic is something I haven't exactly had to tackle before.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

I've seen S2 Rinzlers in the store, there's nothing 'TRON' about him unfortunately.

Really hope we get a Tron figure in S3 if it happens.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I am pretty sure we will see a Tron figure eventually, as well as unmasked versions of the main characters.

The very fact that there is a Series 2 already out suggests this line will go on for more than just a few months. After all, the line for the last Star Trek movie never got to series 2.

I have a question that's more-so general rather than TRON specific:
what do you do when you get an action figure and it has a lose limb?

for example: I recently bough a really hard to find Spidey figure brand new/mint but unfortunately it's left leg is lose..it won't stay in a position.. every time u lift it up for a pose it falls right back down..

what can I do to fix this?where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Good lord that stuff is hard to work with. The more you touch it, the squishier it gets. By the time I get the right side of the hair looking perfect, I've mushed the left beyond recognition. Yeesh. Gonna have to do this bit by bit, and I am NOT a patient guy....

This is why I use Games Workshop's green stuff. It always stays soft enough to sculpt, but not too soft so that you're crushing it with your thumb
