I have, I visit the site each morning before work to check for a new comic. I am a fan. :-) hence my pleasure in watching your custom progress. Next, how about a fig of The Hipster? Lulz

Ah, sweet. Did you discover it through my fan art topic, or do I know you from elsewhere online?

I've pondered figures of some of the other characters, but I just wouldn't know where to start. A head for hipster would be really difficult for me, as much of a novice as I am, and I wouldn't even know where to begin looking for skinny jeans, Converse, or a pea-coat to cannibalize. =/

EDIT: And just FYI, comics will be erratic at best for awhile. Probably won't be seeing any online until the first week of February or so right now. The figure business has been a distraction, and school has been rather demanding this quarter.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

All good bro, I totally understand. I found BlOOP through the pin-up art you posted in the fan art thread as you said. And I'm very glad I did! Our humor is very similar.

BUT.

This is a TRON figure customization thread. We can do this another time!order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

so, the other day I was trying to get one of my Sam figures out of the Lightrunner seat and the figure disassembled. Nothing broken, fortunately and it is interesting to see the inner workings of the thing.

I kind of expected to find one of those big, old fashioned LEDs that came encapsulated in acrylic, but instead it's this tiny little thing I had mistaken for a piece of solder.

To the point, I am looking forward to customize that figure, and I was wondering about what'd be the best way or changing the light color. I was thinking maybe applying a coat of translucent paint to either the LED itself or to the inner surface of the torso shell. What do you guys think?abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

ender9492 Wrote:Your figure is looking good though! I think getting the detail on the torso, while retaining the translucency is probably the biggest hurdle. I was thinking that maybe layering on a shellac, or epoxy, or something, then basically just carving out the details might work. At least, it'd give you more than just the stock body plastic to work with (kinda thin in some parts, at least on Quorra).

That's actually what I did. I sanded down the figure torso, then I smeared the stuff all over it, and then cut away the lines.

I do a lot of model aircraft kits - have done since I learnt how to use my hands! - and I exclusively use Tamiya Acrylic paints, they should be available quite readily in the US. They make several colours such as Clear Blue, which if thinned slightly would I think be ideal for TRON figs. Just my .2c

I went for applying paint glazes to the inner front torso shell of my custom Sam. So far it's working fine, but I will need to apply a few more coats before sealing.

On a related note, Has anybody been succesful in removing the clear face-shield without destroying it in the process?where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

I'm thinking maybe drilling the shield peg from the inside of the head, to try and push it out instead of pulling.

So far none of the Sam figures I have seen had glue residues showing, so I guess the only glued contact area would be the bottom of the slot. This needs some more research...

just thought i'd give a small update as to my Gen 3 lightcycle project.

i have some fantastic assistance to getting it to be as authentic to the in-game design as possible: Chris Glenn, who actually designed the bike for the PSP version of evolution.

he's providing me with more art not up on his portfolio to aid in the construction.
needless to say for his help he's getting one from me.

My initial choices for head swaps, these are not finished , they need to be painted and in the case of sam he needs some hair sculpting.

TRON, While not a match for bruce boxlightner I think this is a real heroic looking mug.

Helmetless sam and maybe helmeted sam

This one needs the most work, I'll need to sculpt some hair with some puddy. Sam's youthful look with his hair style is a hard face to match. I wasn't liking any of the anakins I found. I plan on making a custom removable helmet.

Clu and eventually a new older Kevin

I think this face is actually my best find, it's roundish and it has a somewhat evil looking smirk on it. I plan on getting a second one and sculpting on a beard and a hair change.

Well, I finished the basic repaint, although I have not settled for a definitive head yet. Also, I'm undecided wether or not give it a coat of gloss for that prototype look.

Coloring the inside of the torso was the most time consuming part, as I had to apply coat after coat of Games Workshop's Green Glaze, waiting for each one to dry completely before applying the next. For the outer glow lines I used GW's Jade Green acrylic.

I think I'll try to tint the face-shield using the same technique when I have the time.

Thank you, it was a really fun activity for a couple of evenings despite the molding issues in these figures.

On one hand I wanted it to be like, my own custom figure avatar, but then I remembered the Kwang Grade Mark 11 program that the protagonist of Neuromancer uses for his final run, and since the Tron wiki mentions that military grade programs are sometimes green-lit, naming it after that one seems appropiate.

Bottom line, I haven't decided yet. I guess it'll depend on the final head I select for it. If tinting the visor obscures enough of the face to look generic enough, I'll name it Errex.DLL or something like that; but if I instead find a covered head I like, I'll probably go with the Kwang designation.

Where'd that head come from? I do see potential...
