I gotta say Zuse, that pic is making me want to go pick up a few more Black Guards and Sentries to fill out the ranks. Nice work on the weapons, they look great.

Does anyone have any pictures of their finished or work-in-progress CLU Light Jet? I'm wondering what the other people out there attempting this mod are doing for the second set of wings, because I have absolutely zero experience with making molds for plastic and what not, and when I watched the scene again the other day, I realized it wasn't just a simple repaint like I had originally thought. I was just going to go over the orange spots on the current one with a yellow Testors paint, but in rewatching the scene I saw that CLU's jet also has a second set of "stabilizer" wings (if that's even what they're called), on the bottom of his jet, and so short of buying a third jet just for the extra wings, I'm at a loss as to what I should use. abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Wow I didn't even notice that. Does it also have the second set of wings when he steals Rinzler's Baton? Either way I'll probably still just paint it yellow since I don't really feel like buying another jet just for the extra rear wings. Attaching them would probably be a headache as well.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

I wasn't sure about the answer to your question, so I went and checked, and you're right, when he steals Rinzler's baton, it does not have the extra set of wings. Here's the pics I'm using as a reference:

This is his initial Light Jet, the one with the extra wings:

and

And this is the best shot I could get of the one he gets from Rinzler's baton:

I may try to make an additional set out of clay or something of the sort, but I'm going to wait and see how things go with painting it first.

Another question I had, for those people who have made a custom black robed Kevin Flynn and given him the boots off of the Sentry figure, how did you go about doing that? I've never done a leg-swap before, and I wasn't sure if the general consensus was to just switch the bottom half of the legs, or to use the whole thing, plus the way the robe is sculpted, it kind of gets in the way of popping him apart at the waist.

Heat the figure with a hair drier, then simply pop off the legs at the ball joint. In theory you could probably swap them at the knees, but I don't think the sculpts would end up matching up as well.

They don't match up well... the Flynn upper leg is shorter than the Sentry upper leg, so you end up with a dwarf.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Thanks for mentioning that, I compared the two and you're right. I decided to take the lazy route and picked one up off of Ebay that someone had already swapped and painted, so that should be here in a few days. Once it gets here I'll start working on the robe and hopefully that will turn out all right.

Just out of curiousity, what would you guys consider to be a full collection? This is what I have so far:

1x Kevin Flynn Disc
2x Rinzler Disc
2x Sam Disc (one is Sam's one is Quorra's)

2x Light Jets (going to mod one to be CLU's)
1x 3-man Jet

1x Light Runner
1x Sam Cycle
1x Kevin Cycle

3x Black Guards
3x Sentries
2x CLU (one to wear his robe)
2x Kevin (one black one white)
2x Rinzler (one to be painted in his redeemed colors)
and 1 of each of the other figures

I'm planning to get:

5x Kevin Cycle (4 to color like the original TRON cycles, and one to color black like the one on the shelf in Legacy)
1x Sam Cycle (to create a generic Sentry/Black Guard cycle)
2x CLU Cycles (one to keep the same and one to make Rinzlers)

and then maybe one more Guard and Sentry, another CLU to paint green like in Betrayal and subsequently another Sam cycle to paint green to match, and another Rinzler and Kevin disc to make into CLU's and Castor's respectively. In the long run, I'm looking at making one or both of the Recgonizer and CLU's Command Ship out of a mix of cardboard and other materials to use as display pieces.

After all that is said and done, is there anything else that you guys can think of that would make the collection more "complete" if you will? Obviously there are things like Gem/Jem, the Daft Punk DJ's and Kevin, CLU, and Tron in their jackets from the flashback, but I'm somewhat limited in my ability to make customs if the skill level goes beyond repainting things.

Actually, the sentry lightcycles are identical to Sam's cycle, aside from color, so instead of modding Clu's to be a sentry, I'd mod Sam's to be a sentry. Just a suggestion, though.

Thanks, but I think you may have misread my post lol.

I was planning to do it that way, and use the Sam bike for the custom Sentry/Black Guard cycle, and then I was going to do the extra CLU bike as a Rinzler custom cycle, because on the second one he uses it has the horizontal headlight and the leg guard, at least from what I can tell. Thanks for looking out for me though, I appreciate it.

Well I know several people have done the simple paint approach on Rinzler, which is what I planned to do, but I think only one person has actually changed the lights or colored the plastic clear bluish if I remember correctly. As for the Black Guard, I don't know of anyone who has done this, but I had considered doing it once I got the rest of my stuff done. It seems simple enough, just sand down a few spots on the guard and then paint over them with an orange glaze or something to that effect.

DUDE!! Now I definitely have to make one to complete the lightcycle collection. I was hoping they would come out with Rinzler w/lightcycle. This made my day.

Well done!

Has anyone attempted to make the flashback characters, like Kevin and CLU (which is pretty much the same thing now that I think about it ) in their light-strip jackets? I have an idea about a figure combo that would work, but I wanted to see what others had done so far. Also, what head works best for a young Kevin/ CLU? I've seen several different examples on here, but each one seems just as different from the others as the next.

Has anyone disassembled a Kevin Flynn figure? I'd like to switch out the white shoulder joints with black ones, since paint rub is kind of unavoidable if one were to just paint them black.

The problem is his torso is a combination of hard plastic and a soft flexible type, and I'm pretty sure you'd need to first remove the flexible plastic covering before being able to split the hard plastic body in half.

The back piece seems like it's glued to his butt extremely well, and I don't want to force it and risk ripping the plastic. The front piece I managed to pry off for the most part, but the part that's connected to the section that lights up doesn't seem to want to budge.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

I was at walmart yesterday and saw the new Hal Jordan figure from Green Lantern that looked like it might make a really good base head for Clu.

Okay, some updates on the customizing T:L figures I've got. As you know from my posts about Big Lots having the T:L figures and vehicles in stock, I was considering on making a Gem figure. After some consideration (even though I've bought the another Quorra figure to use as the base), I've decided on holding off on doing Gem and have decided to keep that figure in its package (for now). I may do one much later (and you never know, I may find another figure that'd work better. It may not be a light up one, but still, you never know).

I've picked up a Irina Spalko figure from the Indiana Jones line (as many have used her head for the base of Quorra), so I can do a Quorra headswap at any time (or at least create a cast of it if I need to).

I've been doing some thinking about the pre-CLU coup TRON I plan on doing from the Rinzler figure. I realize that after I switch out the LED boards, I'm going to be stuck with a Sam Flynn Figure and an Orange LED board. If anyone has any suggestions on what kind of heads could be used for Dillenger Jr., I just may use the board and body for him (especially since he's suppose to be the villain of the next film), unless there's another character I could possibly turn the spare parts into. Of course, I'm still considering that one as well.

Also, any ideas on heads for a T:L Yori are also welcome. I've been looking at some resin casts of G.I. Joe heads from Broken Arrow Toys, and a few of them jump out including "Betty", "Tons-o-Buns", "Heather" (if I want to go the route of sculpting a head-dress and making Yori into a T:L version of the I/O Tower Guardian), "Impa" and "Marai". I don't know if any of them are close enough to look like Cindy Morgan, but in case none of them do, I'll probably hit the stores and find something.

Also, I've been looking at various custom action pieces sites for other heads that I may be able to purchase for the other figures (other thank the Broken Arrow Toys). I'll figure them out (no pun intended).

That's about it for now.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

For Tron, is just repainting the lit areas on the Rinzler fig sufficient to make it glow white?(after switching led boards) i've been brewing and idea for the led board that i'm going to run by the instructables forum. Does or has anyone made a schematic of the boards yet?

Well, that's what this user at DeviantArt told me when I asked him about how he did his. When I contacted him, I asked: Did you have to recast the entire front torso of of the Rinzler figure for it to glow the correct color? I ask because I picked up a few T:L action figures that I'm planning on customizing, and I picked up two Rinzlers (with one I intend on turning into TRON) and I know that one of the issues that many customizers have is getting the correct color (I know that one person had to make a silicone mold of the front torso of the figure and then cast it in clear resin and painted in the black parts so to make sure it looked correct). If you didn't, then that means I can just simply swap the inside board for the figures (I'd have to pick up a second Sam Flynn, but that shouldn't be too hard) and be done with it.

He said: I carefully cut out Rinzler's light/battery area with a hobby knife and just switched the boards out. That's all. I put a thin layer of white paint over the red transparent plastic of the light up areas on Rinzler's chest. The thin white paint plus the bright blue led from Sam did the trick. Hope that helps you.

I don't know if that will actually work or not, but he says it does (I figured I'd try it to see if he's right and if its not, then I'll either cast the front with clear plastic, paint the inside clear blue and have that work or to swap the boards back around and just paint the figure white and not use the button. As for heading over to Instructables and the light up board schematics for the figures, I don't know if anyone over at Instructables has figured out how to create it but if anyone has, it'd be either them or someone over at the MakeZine blog.
