Favorite scene or effect?

on Wednesday, December, 22, 2010 2:31 PM
All right, folks, let's hear what your favorite scene or visual effect is.

It's a tough one for me, and I've only seen the movie once so far (I know, I know--I'm trying to find time to see it again soon), but I think my favorite scene was the whole lightjet chase. Really exciting, amazing visuals, nice nod to Star Wars, and of course Tron's redemption.

Runner-up is when Clu and his hench-programs hop on their lightcycles and start to chase Sam--they're riding upside-down, then each of them smoothly flips over without losing any speed. Supercool!

my favorite hands down is the fight at castor's night club, and when daft punk, in the midst of all the fighting, just changed the music to 'derezzed'. i thought that was hilarious and quorra was bada**.

my second one is the disk battle, then the light cycles.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Holy cow, where to start? It was all visually astounding! The whole thing! Just jaw-dropping gorgeous.

But for emotional depth and impact, I'd have to say:

Clu picking up the chrome apple, with flashback, then sweeps everything off the table in a fit of rage. That moment, to me, defined who Clu was, and made him a far more interesting character than he was up to that point.

That's followed just slightly by Sam's re-uniting with his father for the first time. Genuine choke-up moment, that. Well done and beautifully understated.

So much to like but if I had to choose one...

Rinzler after hitting the buggy mines doing a backflip and forming a new light cycle before landing. Followed the shot regularly after I saw the early previs and absolutely loved the final.abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Mine has to be the End of Line Club hands down. Castor was so funny/weird. I think if Johhnny Depp and Lady Gaga had a son, he could easily have played that role. Plus who doesn't want a cane that doubles as a machine gun.

My second favorite is the whole scene that takes place at Encom.

I thought the machine gun was just a light show nothing more...

My favorite scene would have to be Rinzler's introduction on the Game Grid.

In my order of anticipation during re-watching:

1. Lightcycle battle (the bleeps and blurps during the setup and battle are awesome).
2. The retaking of Flynn's disc near the end... great music, great scenes "I'm taking this vehicle... YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED... smack... RIGHT AWAY SIR...
3. LightJets.
4. The battle and fall from End of Line.
5. Everything else.

Funny enough, I love the elevator chime. It just seems so... familiar and weird at the same time.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I loved the Disc Wars, the Light Cycle match and the Light Jets, they were all my favorite actions scenes and I loved the arcade sounds they played in the arena.

I also loved the reunion with Sam and father Flynn and the conversation they had on the Solar Sailer.

Ohyeah! Ohyeah! Almost forgot:

SAM ENTERING UNIX COMMANDS INTO HIS DAD'S SYSTEM! USING AN HONEST TO GOD COMMAND LINE! BIGGEST GEEKGASM OFTHE WHOLE DAMNED FILM!

(ahem) Sorry. But, yeah. Considering how the Encom system command line worked in the first film, the producers could have come up with a clunky-looking yet grokkable funky interface to keep modern non-tech-savvy audiences up with what's going on. But no. They go with Unix. Huge, huge props, dudes. Love your work.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Man, that must've been summat. I came up in the UK and wasn't as much of an arcade rat, and it was only my TRON fannishness that had me thinking, "Okay, that's gotta be a Journey shout-out."

Tron Unit Wrote:My favorite scene is when Sam is in Flynn's arcade and turns on the machines and Journey Separate Ways is playing. At that moment I was transported 30 years back in time to my youth and all of the days growing up I stood in front of that Bally Tron arcade machine playing it and listening to 80's songs just like it. My parents couldn't afford to pay a babysitter so they would always leave me $10 to go to the arcade and I would make it last for hours and hours while they were at work. That scene holds the most sentimental value for me of any scene I have ever seen on film. It literally brought a smile to my face and I had tears in my eyes. That's exactly how it was and I miss those days so much because they are lost in time and will never come again. Thanks Joe for taking me back to my youth.

I know excactly how you feel.

Most of my favorite parts were actually off grid believe it or not. I really liked the first 20 mins a lot. The Encom break-in/escape, the news reports converning Flynn's dissapearance, and Sam's entrance to the arcade.

Favorite lines were both Kevin's "Knock on the sky..." and his comment on wifi.

Can't really put my finger on my favorite effect in the movie as it is all just amazing, but that first shot of Tron City where the recognizers fly over the city in a big sweeping panoramic view I was as stunned as Sam must have been.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I loved the whole rectifier scene, but particularly the part when Flynn is commandeering the light jet.
"Identify!"
"I'm taking this vehicle."
"That is not authorized-!" *Flynn frowns, raises fist, and bonks the program on the top of the head* "-Right away sir! Please watch your step as you board the aircraft."

Did people notice that the rectifier has the same shape as Sark's carrier in the original movie?

I also liked the look on Sam's face right before he presses the key and gets digitized.

And Flynn's comment on wi-fi is cute. "What's a why-fly?"

All the scenes with Rinzler in them are cool. *pounces and drags Rinzler off to the Ladies' Night thread*order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill
