The date of launch, 12/17/2010 has three 1's in it!
The month 12 ("1+2") adds up to 3!
The year 2010 ("2+0+1+0") adds up to 3!

Don't mind me. Just kidding... I'm getting carried away with all the 3s

I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^

Here's some of the similarities/easter eggs between "Tron Legacy" and the "Tron 2.0" game.

1. The story involves the son of a protagonist from the original film (in "Tron 2.0" it is Jet Bradley, son of Alan. In "Tron: Legacy" it is Sam Flynn, son of Kevin Flynn) as the lead.
2. The original "Tron" arcade game turns up in both works (in both the video game and film, Encom released a "Tron" video game created by Kevin Flynn, which becomes an "arcade hit" in both stories).
3. Both son characters explore a lab with a laser after their father has mysteriously disappeared (for the film, Sam finds Flynn's office in the arcade 20 years after his father disappeared to find out what happened to him. In "Tron 2.0", Jet goes to the digitizing lab after hearing his father's kidnapping on his cell phone to find out what happened to him).
4. A female program that works for the father of the son character saves the son character from the game grid during a Lightcycle competition (in the film, it's Quorra who rescues Sam from the Lightcycle game by taking him off the Grid. In the "Tron 2.0" game, it's Mercury who saves Jet Bradley by giving him advice on how to get off the lightcycle grid)
5. Both involves an antagonist that cannot create programs, but can only repurpose them for their own needs (in "Tron: Legacy", CLU repurposes many programs for his army. In "Tron 2.0", it is Thorne, a computer virus/ super user infects programs that he wishes to use for his own purposes).
6. Both stories involve the son character going to a bar setting and ending up in a fight for survival (in "Tron: Legacy", it's Sam going to the "End of Line Club." In "Tron 2.0", it's Jet going to the "Progress Bar." And both bars include some heavy techno music.
7. Both stories involves the importance of the digitization process in order to get out of the system (CLU needs Flynn's ID Disc as it has the key to allowing him and any other programs to leave the Grid in the film. In "Tron 2.0", Ma3a carries the correction algorithms for digitization that allows for the digitization process to work properly going in and out of the system).
8. Both feature the name "Tron Legacy" (for the film, it is the title and "Torn Legacy" shows up after the film is completed. For the game, its the name of the upgraded version of the Tron protection program, to which Jet retrieves the source code for).

As for the "Tron: Legacy" to "Tron" connections, how about the chip that Sam has? In the film, he uses a SD-like chip that connects to his cell phone. You see it twice in the film (during his "prank" on Encom and after he gets out of the system). If you look closely at it, you'll see the chip has the same design as the identity discs from the first film.

Also, when Sam turns on the arcade after arriving, the jukebox plays the song "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" by Journey. In the original film, two songs by Journey turns up in the film. Those two songs are "Only Solutions" and "1990s Theme."

And, pointed out by a user over at the Replica Prop Forum, Sam's "Encom '89" sticker, which can be seen on the back of his helmet, is sort of a stylized version of the hidden Mickey seen in the original film.

In the first one, when Alan walks to his cubicle, you see this huge sea of cubes where the employees sat.

In the new one, you see a huge sea of servers when Sam goes to steal the new OS.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Ok how about this...

In the first movie Kevin Flynn uses a Apple 3 computer. In Legacy in the 1989 sequence you see that Sam Flynn has a Macintosh computer (another Apple product.)

Amazingly, Encom is supposed to be like Microsoft complete with "Kevin OS" or "Encom OS" and yet the Flynn's use Apple products?

-----------------------------------

Did anyone notice that one of the gladiators in the games was named "Cray" (based off the Cray computer that rendered the first movie.)

Encom OS 12 is a rip from Mac OS X.

I thought the lightcycle sound from the arcade machine when the Clu is about to activate his baton was awesome.

dammit.. i was just about to mention the classic arcade sound lol. that was bad ass.

other things i ntice where in FLYNN'S arcade the little handheld game he had from the first film,
various lines from the first film being used in this film.

That and the sound of the platforms rezzing up from Discs of TRON plays when Sam is going into the first Disc Wars match.
dammit..that was another 1 i was going to post.. -_-

IN the scene where Sam is in his father's office in the arcade. Above the computer, where "THE GRID is written, below those words you'll see that lines off "x's" make the shape of Sark's carrier.

nope, it's actually a topological map of the grid itself.

This could just be an overactive imagination, but Quorra's line "You're probably right" reminded me of the MCPs "there's a 68.71% chance that you're right"
Also, the bit when Sam arrives "We have a guest" "There are no guests" made me think of Ram's sarcastic "You're a...guest of the MCP," or at least, it made me think that Ram's remark caused Flynn's' response to Quorra, there are no guests, not on the grid.

I am like ellelldee and have an over-active imagination and find what I want to.
I mentioned this before, but NO-ONE commented on it. I caught it the first time I watched it even though i didn't even know the guy's name. I couldn't remember the first letter and just put in a random one. Did I mention I previously only saw TRON once and had no idea what was going on. My only resource was the HISHE Tron rap)
Okay, anyways, this may sound stupid, but here goes. I think Sam's name is derived from RAM's name. Honestly, I substituted the first letter with S (of Ram) at first, but later changed my mind. My reasoning behind this is that maybe Kevin missed his dead frien and wanted to name his kid after said friend. Of course, the name had to be normalized, so went with the normalest variation, Sam!!!
This is just my strange mind. If you could, please comment on my what I found. If you think its the stupidest theory in the world, I suppose I'll be ok with that. I'll just delete this post.

I'm convinced that Apple owns the film industry. Pretty much every single movie I've ever seen has people using Apple products, including computers.

In the first film, Flynn has his shirt off before talking to Lora and Alan.

In the second movie, Sam also takes his shirt off while talking to Alan.

I'd say that's an easter egg

here's something - i'm not sure if the editing team
did this intentionally or something else entirely.
your mileage may vary.

two movie players - tron1 on top and legacy at bottom
the time code is circled in yellow which show the
exact times that these images appeared.

maybe flynn is right... their worlds are connected

because two flynn's are better than one

because gibbs face and the dumont name
appearing on the same time in two different movies
is just something for the x-files

because two reclining dillingers is just cool
