Looks like we'll be seeing an official magazine about T:L:

No date on this yet, and Titan Magazines' website says nothing about it (actually, their website hasn't been updated for quite a while). Anyone else hear news about this one?
And SyFy's official magazine will have a cover story on Tron Legacy...in their Feb. 2011 issue (???):

Wow...way to stay two months behind the times there, Syfy. I'm thinking that date has to be wrong, otherwise the other features in the mag (like the Holiday gift guide) would make absolutely no sense. Then again, this IS Syfy we're talking about: the network where wrestling is considered science fiction and a story about a shark genetically merged with an octopus is considered top-shelf entertainment.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

i've posted this view elsewhere, but I've been surprised how little engagement Titan have had in putting TL merch out there. I guess that Disney will push merch, in the UK somehow at some point but it has been slow. Forbidden Planet - our main outlet for all things "geek" spends a lot of time promoting Doctor Who merch. Not surprising ,I guess. I've been disappointed at the lack of merch in FP. Our London store has only dedicated one small area for TL toys.

The two most interesting Tron Legacy designed magazines are these. A UK publication Little White Lies Foil Blocked Flynn/Jeff Bridges and the D23 Tron Legacy reflective foil cover.

Newly found in the UK today.
Empire magazine covers Legacy and has 3 different covers featuring Jeff, Garrett and Olivia.
Wired has Beau Garrett on the cover for Legacy.
Dazed and Confused interview Daft Punk about the Legacy score with a 3D cover.

So I e-mailed the publisher of the Tron Souvenir magazine last week for info on when it will be released and where it can be found, here's the response I got:
"Good day,
We don’t have any details concerning this magazine title, maybe sometime in 2011.
Best Regards."

Better be out soon... OR ELSE.
WOuld buy this in a heartbeat. Went to Amazon ready to add to cart and checkout.. if it was reasonably priced, and no doubt it will be.
This is gonna cost some bucks in a few years, too.

Picked up the official magazine today. It's very skinny and seems to be aimed at kids. I'm a little surprised by that, to be honest. Still, should be good for the young ones. Saw it in Borders today, there's more of those than there are Books-A-Million where I found it last week.
Is the 3 cover choices Empire out already?

I found the Tron magazine at Borders today; picked up two copies so I can use one for putting up posters while the other stays intact.
I have not seen the three-cover Empire mags yet, however.
