I was just gonna wear a black turtleneck shirt, black pants, and black boots, all with blue fabric ribbon attached, blue fiber-optic hair extensions, and my identity disk replica (attached with string, gonna wear it around my neck, a backwards necklace). I don't have the money for anything else - the EL tape in particular . For your thing, I would suggest the jacket. It looks better than the vest in my opinion.

idk, if u get the large type u can it to whatever size. larger meaning more adhesion but i also thought of those super strong flat magnets u can get and stitch into a closed pocket of fabric, sometimes used in clothing departments for name badges. and then mount the other magnet inside the disk maybe? not sure how that work with the wiring inside but it might be doable. my friend has one of those magnets and its crazy strong

It's not as it turns out.

Tape only refers to the fact that it's FLAT like a tape, but no, there doesn't appear to be any adhesive on it.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

hmm. not seeing anything there about it. except the plastic adhesive strips for holding the wired type, seems there has to be a way it sticks, i just cant see it being called tape and it not being sticky lol

Well, tape measurers have tape that isn't sticky. Seriously, EL tape, wire and sheets doesn't have any adhesive on it so you will have to be creative in how you affix it to your costumes. Many have used velcro or sheathed it in a clear plastic envelope that can be sewn to fabric. Some have glued it.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

I wonder where one gets clear envelopes...

However, I have an alternative idea-- I just realized that I have a spool of clear thread from what, the 70's. They are still being sold so I picked up two more spools of the clear thread. :X

Can't wait to see a finished product, Kia!

Man, I really wish I'd thought enough ahead to start on some sort of costume...

Jacket is partially done; at least that is the first layer is done, I just need to get the lining done and the EL Tape attached.

Silver finished the wire/soldering work so everything's good to go.

Unfortunately, we discovered that the batch of EL Tape I got from Glowhut.com ... does not have two copper strips running through it so we have no idea if we'll be able to reuse the tape strips for my suit. May have to go with blue reflective light tape for the suit.

Kia,
Pretty cool costume! Looking forward to seeing pics from you after you've worn it to the premiere.

Kia, you have inspired me.

The day after I read this thread, I set out to do something for the premier. While yours is a bit more creative than mine, and probably required much more work, I'm slowly becomming satisfied with my costume.

Mine, however, is just white with blue fabric paint.

I originally wanted to go with glow in dark paint >.>

Silver thought we should be more accurate and go for EL tape, looool, but it's kind of turning out to be somewhat of a disaster as I can only use it on the jacket, can't re-wire the remainder. :|

For that matter, unless he hears back from glow hut, I may be only wearing the jacket itself (which I find to be terribly unfair) x_x

ETA:
@Silver-Streak> Kia: Ok, so apparently Glowhut's EL tape is made with a phosphorus layer below and above the connectors. D:
@Silver-Streak> They're saying that even they don't rewire the tape on their cutoff
@Silver-Streak> Because of how they make it.

Trial and error has shown me that the iron on blue reflective tape actually works better ironed on as it's not a very ... sticky tape either, lol :P

So I think I can definitely get my suit done, just not as awesome as my jacket will be. Oh well, more pictures to come later~
