during the final montage at Tron Night, there was a brief clip of Clu saying "what's your next movie Flynn, come on.. Come on!" On a big IMAX screen he looks great, on a QT as compared to what's on a big movie screen and and IMAX screen, that QT video or youtube video doesn't quite do some things justice in my opinion..
Young flynn and Clu just look *better* at a much larger resolution on the big screen in my view.
It will probably look even better in the finished movie. Digital Domain is probably working to the last possible day & minute before the film has to go out to the theaters to be ready for Dec 17 th...

I feel you ShadowDragon. I mean, 7-story tall screen IMAX/3D presentation, vs. small computer screen youtube/quicktime file - BIG difference. Youtube doesn't do complete justice to video clips as far as how they render them.
In reference to the new trailer, all I gotta say is: DAYUM!!!!!!!!!!! Dec 17th CAN NOT come fast enough!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to WorldOutWest, as well as the other Admin Programs who help get us this content. You rock!!!!!!!!!

I think this trailer will attract non-fanatics to the film more than anything we've seen yet. It explains the plot simply, with more of the 'human' elements emphasized (father goes missing, son finds him), which will help attract audiences.
I'm blown away. I love watching Clu, I love the recognizers, the light jets, the score...

Can't say I like this trailer as much as previous ones. Young Flynn looks not so great (I was hoping for Avatar quality), his old Flynn voice cracks. Its more of a dark trailer. Clu yelling was uncanny valley'd. I still look forward to the film.

I honestly don't see why ppl are complaing. the CGI on younger Flynn and Clu is epic. yes obviously if someone looks for it purposely, they can tell it's CGI or they can find imperfections btu at least it looks better than it did before. ppl need to stop complaining..it's not like it's gonna ruin the entire movie or whatever..even if the CGI on younger jeff briges doesn't look better than what we see now..wooopdie friggin do...use ur imagination to suspend your belief like your still able to do wtih the CGI in the original TRON...

also i just wanted to say: although i neevr made this statement on the forums(i came up with this conclusion just last night when watcing the TRON EVOLUTION OVERIVIEW vid)

Well gee, that was awesome, but in terms of the spoiler department, what caught me more as "spoiler-iffic" was not the giveaways of father and son reuniting, but moreso the enigmatic lines Clu was shouting at the end of the trailer. "Out there is a new world! Out there...is our destiny!"
Spooky, but exciting implications as to where TRON as a story and myth might be heading...
Why use Norton AV or AVG to protect your computer when you could be using TRON instead!?

I've seen Lawnmower Man, so I understand the idea, but I was actually imagining the reverse occurring in Tron Legacy. I am SO jacked up for this movie...BUT, just now seeing this latest trailer gets me very worried!! The CGI they've shown us for both Kevin Flynn in the real world as a younger age with Sam and with CLU look so UNBELIEVABLY RUBBERIZED AND FAKE!!! If there is anything that will kill this movie, it's going to be that Disney spent all their time and effort into making the "TRON World" itself, and not enough into these younger Jeff Bridges characters!! I am very nervous now for TRON: Legacy.
I mean, think back a few years and films ago...remember the de-ageing they did for "X-Men: The Last Stand", where Professor Xavier and Magneto were "younger" when they met Jean Grey for the first time? And how about "The Curious Case of ? Benjamin Button"? I mean, the photo-realistic effects were completely believable with Brad Pitt ageing and de-ageing.
Why couldn't have Disney gotten the same quality either one of those films had for TRON: Legacy??
Color me a little sceptical at this point, but don't get me wrong...I am still 100% a die hard fan for TRON: Legacy. I have been a fan of TRON since 1982 and I was 14 years old. Think back to Terminator Salvations with young Schwartzeneger.
I suspect that its too little money spent or not enough time. Either way we know we are going to see this come up in the reviews and I certainly don't want anything to go bad for this movie, we've waited for so long for this. Uh, they are revealing way too much in the trailers. Now it is evident that CLU is trying to escape the ENCOM server to the internet or wants to use the shiva laser to cross over into the real world.

In regards to the de-aging stuff, I've been worried with the little bits of dialogue we've seen on Clu so far, and the first shot of Flynn in this trailer seemed to have the same issues, where the mouth movment just doesn't quite seem to match up. However, the part of this trailer where Clu is yelling"Where are you!" really seemed to be working. The face might be a little plastic-y, but the mouth movements really seemed to match up well. If it all gets to that quality I'll be happy. I would be much less pulled out of the moment if the mouth works, even if the skin texturing is not perfect.
