No 4" Rinzler with katana. The 7" Rinzler got a ton of weapons to try to compensate for not having an Impulse Projection face. The Black Guard got the chute/wings.

It was strange because we knew about these weapons from the reference we were given, but didn't have any idea who used them or when. We have images of Black Guards holding nunchuks. I could be wrong, but i don't think ANYONE used nunchuks in the movie. The script called out a grappling hook a couple times, but we never SAW it. Well, not until the movie came out. Also, although the studio team swore only Quorra fought with a katana, there is a very brief moment in the End of the Line club where you can see a Black Guard using one.

My point is, a lot of the holes in our information didn't get filled until right before movie release...or even after. That's just a normal part of developing product for a movie. Target has their own pretty good clearance system that I hope the toys run through.

But, I've also seen 'Target Exclusive' toys at Big Lots, Ross, TJ Maxx and a new store in this area called Ollie's. Target clearance ends up at Goodwill as well once its gone through 75% off clearance cycle.

I hope we see the S2 2" packs in the clearance cycle. My fear is that they were as limited as the S3 2" stuff seems to be.

It thought I only remember them fighting with the staff weapons (like comes with the core Sentry, and 12" figures), but in different lengths, the edge was "glowy", so side shots made it look somewhat like the katanas. I remember those Black guards put their batons together... for one, the light comes out on both ends forming a staff (the one in the middle). The other separates the batons and the light appears in the middle, forming something like nunchaku (the one on the left). And for the other 2 Black guards, one has a sword like Quorra and the other uses no weapon at all.
