And for your info I met up with GGemini...we are easy gng ppl who happen to love tron. I will let him vouch for me if he wants to. I am disappointed by all this unnecessary envious dig just becos for once we got one rare item it here early. jeuz!

black pot kettle? I think you're confused. I'm not selling anything.

FYI, the series 2 deluxe discs are hitting and being found here in the US. They're not "rare", just new.

Although I'm loathe to begrudge anyone trying to make a buck, I do think it's kind of sad that people in places like CA seem to be putting stuff on Ebay rather than offering their fellow Tron fans them at cost plus shipping.

Usually a little group like this is more willing to help people procure such things at cost plus shipping. I know I have on other boards. I wouldn't have my SDCC Tron stuff if a kind soul hadn't helped me out with them.

In any case, I'm willing to be patient for these to hit everywhere.

I'm curious what the Evolution figures will be.

With wave 2 only having been two figures, what I'm really wondering is how many there will be.

I'd think the obvious would be Anon, Abraxas, and Gibson. If they wanted to do double duty with Evolution/Legacy, Tron and Clu/Kevin would be aces.

Also, I'm curious why the elected to release Quorra with her helmet. Any consensus on that? It's cool, and I'm delighted with the figure, but was it likeness rights? Appeal to boys? I'd be surprised if Spin Master made the figures for the movie.

Having a Tron Evo figure will fill that void until the next Tron sequel! Tron is the coolest figure! He's so badazz!

Tron Unit Wrote:Why? They look EXACTLY like them. Even the lights are the same. I think we were looking at the prototypes.

I'm sorry, I just don't see it. Seen the movie three times, so I feel pretty confident that the figure in the movie had basic, classic star wars fig style swivel joints on the shoulders, with no elbow articulation. And I'm not sure what you mean by "Even the lights are the same" ... meaning it lights up? Spin Master is not exclusively capable of wiring an LED.

Quite frankly, on IMAX, the figures looked quite roughly sculpted and painted ... as a prop maker would do for a film.

I personally found her to be a much more likable character with the helmet on.

With helmet on:
Quorra: Get in.
*Sam waits*
Quorra: GET. IN.

Without helmet:
Sam: Well, until I dropped out of college and...
Quorra: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

With helmet:
Sam: Woah woah woah, you can't make that jump..
*makes jump*
Quorra: Made it.

Without helmet:
Sam: OH MY GOD THIS LIGHT JET IS SO F**KING AWESOME HOLY S**T YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH WOOOOOHOOOOO!
Quorro: woo.

hey... I love Quorra, overall she's a great, cute, sexy, innocent, wise, naive and cutely inexperience in some aspects of human interaction.

Which to me make her more than just a female cyber ninja, since she actually has a likeable personality IMO. overall a great character in my view...

I enjoyed all the scenes with her... and her with Sam, and even the akward moments.

Is anyone else slightly disappointed with Clu's Warship in die cast form after seeing the movie? I thought it was a bit blah when I first got it, but after seeing how cool it looked in the movie I'm bummed. I wish they'd have molded clear plastic for the windows like they did with the Recognizer. The flat black just makes it not really look like the ship at all.

Castor is in wave 2 as well if the back of the Light Jet's box is correct.

I hope they do Kevin Flynn in his "Down town" clothes and some helmetless versions of
some of the main characters. CLU would be cool in his robe along with an unhelmeted
noggin.

I have to concede the fact that the making of 'Q', Jarvis, and Castor made me a pretty
happy geek. I like it when they make all the main characters in a film. I guess they
just need to make Gem and Bartik to literally make one of every named character in
the Grid.

If they do Tron:Evolution in wave three, all the better!

spinmaster.com/tron finally works! Well, sort of. I couldn't get into the toy section on Chrome, but I went to Safari and it worked fine. Not much new there though and they don't list specific characters that are coming... still, at least the url on the boxes point to something more specific now.

Just came back from shopping and apparently the movie was a hit: the Deluxe items (vehicles, discs) are sold out in many places in Singapore! The only thing that is still available that is not for sale in the US yet is Rinzler's basic disc.

Wheat King (designer at SM) already confirmed that Castor was held back from series 2 a few pages back.
