I was sorely tempted by the die cast toys by the way, but ultimately, I decided against them.

I picked up the 12" Sam at Target using the DPCI #. I also got the deluxe disc at TRU. I'm only missing Clu's deluxe light cycle but Walmart hasn't stocked anything as of today.

I haven't seen the 12" fig yet, so how is it? Are there more than just Sam?

I was just over at a local Wal-Mart today, and they not only had no idea what I was talking about about the toys, they had no idea about any custom Clu light cycle.
The website lists items, but the Clu cycle isn't one of them, and after much computer searching the clu-less Wal-Mart folks were under the impression that all toys would be online only.

I thought the 12" figure was exclusive to Walmart?

I just got back from Toys R Us and picked up the following:
Sam's Identity Disc
Kevin Flynn's Light Cycle
Hero Pack die-cast vehicles (3-pack)
Villian Pack die-cast vehicles (3-pack)
Basic Action Figures - Sam Flynn, Rinzler and CLU
The display was pretty small considering the marketing push of this movie. I guess it's gonna get bigger as time gets closer to the film's release, and they have more toys on the display. I feel fortunate that I was able to actually buy something, considering other's experiences. I'm gonna head to Wal-Mart and Target this weekend to see if they have any other items. Good luck on the toy hunt everyone! order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Wal-trash blows, what else is new.
Target does have the toys, they just haven't put them out yet, I have no idea why. Use the DPCI #s I provided in my other thread, that's how I got the 12" Sam today, which is awesome by the way. Not worth $40, but still sweet. TRU and the Disney store are currently the only retail stores where product is actually on the shelf.
This is a beautiful site......

RustyMuffler Wrote:Finally back online and I hate that my first post in a while is most likely going to upset a few folks but... the 3 3/4" figures are SO all over the place on their paint jobs. Some of them I've seen on pegs I would go so far as to call outright crap. And the rubber accessories and stuck articulaton? I don't know who is in charge of quality control at Spin Masters but they need to be fired immediately! It's pretty bad when you have to get a screwdriver and a pair of needlenose pliars in order to make your figures displayable. Really wish I would have been more patient and waited for the 7" figures because I picked those up today and they are FAR superior to the 3 3/4" figures I picked up a couple weeks back. Also, was there a problem securing Jeff Bridges likeness because... WOW. That 3 3/4" Kevin Flynn figure is laugh inducing.
Also, what's up with the "Deluxe" Disc? Can anyone confirm that what it does in the package is all there is to it? Because after anticipating the hell out of it, I hung it back on the peg after seeing it.
Sorry to crap on what I am sure is being loved by many but the 3 3/4" inch figures and Deluxe Disc, my most anticipated items to purchase, have left me very disappointed.
Now the diecast stuff? ACES!!! LOVE IT!! Keep it coming. Spin Masters produces diecast stuff from the original film and I won't ever say another peep about the shoddy figures. :P |
u must have just had bad luck and picked up some defective figures..I'm fairly pleased with ALL of mine except CLu but that's because my clue figure is defective. My Kevin Flynn figure is slightly defective but it's fine.
as for the paint job all my figures are decent. i may nit pick about how certain details aren;t painted accurately or not painted at all, but thats nit picking and paying too much attention to detail. if i were u would just take ur bad figures back or something and try and replace them with better figures

The Deluxe disc lookd better out of the package I think, and in the dark/low light, the light up details look very nice to me. Here's a really fair review:

I think the 3-4" figures look alright, sure they could of been a bit better. yeah Kevin Flynn figures face doesnt really look much like Jeff Bridges unfortunately.
Yeah the scuplt and paint job on the 7" figures look vastly better. where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online "The film is about finding human connection in an increasingly digital world." - Joseph Kosinski

I agree that some of the paint apps could be better on the 3.75" figures, as I'm very picky about details. I always go through the lot and pick the best looking ones when buying toys. In the end though I'm very happy with all of the toys. I have faith that Spinmaster will improve on thier action figure lines, look at how Hasbro improved Star Wars figures from '95 to now.
PS
I do think that they should start by improving the hip joints on the 3.75" figures, that joint is no good.

Agreed. These figures are great, but the hips across the board were pretty darn ineffective. The joint seemed a bit ill conceived, but it doesn't keep me from enjoying these awesome figures.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

You can't compare Spinmaster to hasbro. No pun intended but, they've been doing this for years hence better sculpts. When I first saw these at comic con, they didn't seem too bad though i might jsut open them & check them out as I normally don't do such thing but this might just be an exception considering the sudden influx of negative comments received thus far. Quite odd if you think about it. First it was oh shit! these figures are cool now recently it's more like meh, they're OK at most. Sure you can't compare them to SE, Necca, mezzco, hasbro, mattel (I can go on) or any other company as it is spin master's 1st jab at an action figure toy line (well at least with tron that is)

After seeing that last display picture I understand why I though the disc was so small, there are two! I just saw the little one.
