TRON.dll and myself are going to try to port stuff from Tron 2.0 and possibly Tron Evolution to the insanely popular Half-Life 2 mod, "Garry's Mod". I tried doing this last year but the 3D capturing program sucked and the Source engine's requirements took forever to port stuff to GMod.
I tried doing it again today and I got good results using 3Dvia's capturing program and Blender. I ripped Jet (high res model) and Ma3a.
Here's Ma3a:
However, Ma3a poses a problem for porting. In order to make stuff glow in Source, the texture must have alpha channels to mask the glowing areas. Ma3a has this, but these areas are also used to remove the other parts of Ma3a's "ring" to make it look more futuristic, etc. As far as I know, Source can't allow glow and masking at the same time, so I may offer Ma3a in two flavors: one without glow, but with nicer "ring details" or one with glow and without ring details.
If I can streamline the process of converting Blender models to the insanity that is "making a model for the Source engine", we'll be making ragdolls and props in no time.

I just want to make sure I'm thinking clearly: I don't remember Ma3a's face having 2 sides. The green highlighted shapes you see in my screencap above is a duplicate of Ma3a's face. Mr. Sinistar requested that I duplicate her face and reverse it so it is double sided. Here's a picture for me to further elaborate what I mean:
On the left, I'm representing the face on the Ma3a model as it was when I originally opened it in Maya. The face just sticks out in that direction.
On the right, I'm representing the face as how I'm understanding Mr.Sinistar wants it. Double sided (imagine both lines connecting to each other). Now, I personally don't remember Ma3a's face being like that. I remember it being like the image on the left.
Hopefully we can get some awesome models in Garry's Mod. I like to think of this as TRON stuff in Garry's Mod thread 2.0, lol.  order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

See how you can see the inside of the ring? That's the reverse duplicate. I flipped the normals/polygons, if that makes any sense. Map making in Source is a big pain in the butt, so I doubt it, even though it would be awesome to have Tron 2.0 maps in source.
I'll ask some friends if it's possible to convert the map models into Source BSP files.

The only people who have nightmares about Maya are people who looked at it, though it looked to complicated, and ran off to their mommies over at 3DSmax.
In all seriousness, 3DSmax and Maya are essentially the same program, except I've heard 3DSmax is easier to use, lol. Blender is free, I know that's what Mr. Sinistar is using. word to the wi: if u take a 3D modeling class in college, make sure u aren't taking like 4 other classes otherwise you may not have enough time to finish the projects in the class (like me -_- ) yuup. i'll be taking that class over.....where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Got a problem with sizing issues:
I'm using Alxy from Half-Life as a reference for sizing. As you can see, Jet is gigantic. Both heads are the same size, but Jet's body length is a bit cartoony; he's like taller than the player. I guess I gotta find a comprise for size.

@Tron.dll_ I remember the first 3D software I ever used was the Anim8or.  It was pretty simple and easy to use as a complete novice.
Then I tried out Maya, 3DSmax, and blender (and three others) for a month and ended up switching to blender for three years. I wasn't fantastic, but you learn a lot with free software available to you. I eventually switched software again after high school and I'm now going to attempt figuring out Mudbox (which will be hard).
The lesson I learned is that there's a good chance people have to use more than one program.
@CaptainCR_ It's true that you don't want to overstock on too many of the same type of classes.
Another thing to keep in mind is that some animation classes won't necessarily want you to focus on making something that is completely "finished," but focus on getting the meat of the animation done.
E.G. Didn't focus on making textures and perfect lighting, but rigged your characters and took the time to continually work on animating them.

Okay, I'm rigging Jet now:
Rigging is difficult. I had a really hard time working with his shoulders and arms. It looked really messy so I opened up ModelEdit for Tron 2.0 and looked at his vertex weighing and skeleton, which really helped me out.
His left side is almost completely done. After that I need to make a physbox model, compile the SMDs into MDL, figure out the bone constraints and recompile it.

I'm working on TRON, and, as you can see, I've run into some minor difficulties:

The top half of the torso is rotated for some reason, arms and other limbs are ripped off, random polygonal faces missing...

Due to Unforeseen Circumstances, we can't get Tron to export correctly in Maya. It's been a really pain. However, I finished my new and improved lightcycle model. Here it is:
