hah after the lock all this with the book was easy
im a puzzle man, the setup reminds me of the riddle of the sphinx game (there was a lock in that game that i did not open strange coincidence) there were more complicated things there, i hope there are more puzzles soon

Ok, I've tried that on 4 different browsers and 2 different operating systems. Even had someone else try! It's just not working for me. Does anyone know if a badge comes with unlocking the lock or is that just for finding Sam? The Flynn's have problems with disappearances in their family!
***UPDATE - Turns out it worked with SeaMonkey?! And the Flash re-direct you get if you don't have flash takes you to Macromedia...I am guessing someone programmed this with an OLD version of Flash. ****

Yes, use R-L-R. Stop and let go of mouse button on each number. Sinistar's combo worked. It took me a few tries, so be precise and patient. Once you've entered all three numbers, click one the arms of the U-bar holding the lock on and it should click open and load the next screen.

I loved the bottom of page 193 of the blue book. I'm glad to see at least the ARG folks (and hopefully Kosinski, etc. by association) recognize that the Tron world should not necessarily mirror our laws of physics; and therefore that vehicles in Tron do not have to be built with aerodynamic wings, or jet propulsion, or be affected by gravity. The fact that the 4-wheeler vehicle in the trailer had rubber tires and skidded with smoke, along with how the recognizer was landing in it, had me worried that they didn't realize our laws of physics do not need to be followed. Of course, the ARG folks could just be writing that because they saw my post and others here, and they want to appease like they just somewhat did 
PS: Too bad the iPod in there doesn't have an official Tron Legacy track, or a Daft Punk B-Side for TL.  |

SPOILER... Mouse Over To Read:Type in Rio Fiamente in the flynn locater box. Actually I'd started with the martial arts site and noted the big jesus statue on one of the pictures. Duh. Where's the big jesus at in Brazil? Google, and there ya go.

OK so it seems other than the live event achievements (which seem to be unobtainable otherwise) I'm missing friend of flynn. How do I remedy that situation?
I second the idea of making a separate ARG specific subforum (that will then either get deleted or archived after the ARG ends and the movie comes out.)

Grr. I can't get into the locker today using the combo Sinistar gave. Even though I got in last night and know exactly what I did to get in, it's not working. What gives.... lol Did they change the combo??

That was a fun little chase. :P I seriously love what Disney's doing for this viral stuff.
Funny thing is, I work for the Mouse, and nowhere is any of this stuff mentioned. You'd think we'd get a heads up in our intranet or something. NEW YORK (Mediaweek) - Disney Channel is developing a "Tron" animated series to follow the upcoming theatrical release of "Tron: Legacy."
The news was part of Disney's "upfront" presentation to media buyers and clients, which included a preview of the "Tron" series. Geared towards kids age 6-14, the plan is to precede "Tron" with another project, a 10-part "Tron" micro-series premiering in fall 2011 on Disney X D, its cable channel targeted at young boys. |

A full toy line will be released through licensee SpinMaster, targeting the boys' demographic and incorporating light-up features that are vitally important to the look and feel of the Tron world. In highlighting the contrast between the dark finishes and neon colors, DCP plans to make light-up toys an ownable Disney element that should draw in the consumer.
Tron: Legacy also marks the first time Disney will partner with a licensee to create a gaming chair. The Tron franchise centers around a digital gaming universe, and the gaming chair will incorporate Tron iconography and thematic elements while providing the perfect setting from which to play the upcoming "Tron: Evolution" video game.
Licensee action isn't just limited to games and toys; Tron is drawing interest and forming partnerships in other areas. Be on the lookout for announcements about new licensing relationships in consumer electronics, performance apparel/footwear and other lines of business in the coming months. |

They have to make this a success. I think they might actually be trying to replace Pirates of the Caribbean with Tron. They plan to market the living **** out of this movie. Those marketing people are pure geniuses; they really know how to continuously build up anticipation over this long of a course of time. I think all the viral marketing/ARG stuff is *awesome*.
Also, I think all the upcoming merchandize sounds really kick a**, it's kind of like all the really cool sh** that I wanted when I was 8 yrs old and throughout all these yrs wanted kick a** Tron stuff and now it's finally going to come out in the form of Tron Legacy goodies.
I LOVE the dark cyber techno-punk Neuromancer-ish style of Tron Legacy and it's world. So I am loving everything I've seen so far.
The merchandize for the first Tron was kind of scarce back in in 1982 and 1983. So it's kind of like a childhood dream come true..
Now all I want is a good Dark Crystal sequel; like it was supposedly in pre-productiuon, and an high quality faithful remake of ground breaking Sega Master System RPG "Phantasy Star" by the original creators, and then I could finally die truely happy.

I know the folks working on Legacy move onto a re-make of The Black Hole while the next TRON sequel(already in the works) gets written and polished.They aren't sure whether the TRON sequel will continue with Sam or will be a spin-off.
